I went to a Japanese Sushi restaurant in the Tianhe He District in Guangzhou, China. They offer some warm exotic horse milk or goat milk with a saki chaser. It actually went quite well with the meal. However, there was no cows milk.

In the Mediterranean areas it is widely believed that you cannot have milk and fish at the same time. They believe that the combination is poisonous.

In the UK, smoked haddock is actually cooked in milk.

I think that the idea probably stems from when there was no refridgeration, these days it doesn't seem to matter.

Sure you can.

I don't think anything bad would happen to you. You might get some very dodgy looks if you order milk while eating sushi though.

My mother used to tell me you'll get sick if you drink milk after eating fish. She also told me you can't go in the water for 1 hour after eating or you'll get cramps and drown. I think both are myths.

Japanese lager beer goes really well w. sushi.
Milk generally is no longer though to be good for anyone over about 13 to drink in large quantities, you would be better off drinking a sensible glass of wine w. dinner.

NOT A GOOD IDEA!

The pasturization in milk can make it disagree with raw fish or just seafood in general!

Fish don't swim well in milk; they find it hard to maneuver around.

Its your choice, of course you can, except if you are Jewish, I do not think you are meant to eat dairy foods with protein.
