If you have liver complaints, anti-diabetic pills should be stopped. Similarly, if you are taking Statin drugs to lower the cholesterol level, the same should also be stopped. Kidneys and liver will not ordinarily show any visible symptoms of damage. They show symptoms when most of the organ is damaged. If you take Ultra sound scan, the condition of the liver, such as enlargement, fatty liver, cirrhosis, etc can be assessed. If you have any doubt, please take lab tests for liver enzymes such as SGOT (AST) and SGPT (ALT) and urine test for microalbuminuria to assess the Kidney damage.
Please see the webpages for more details on SGOT and SGPT

RELATION IS LIKE WATER AND THIRST. WHEN YOU EAT IN BIG AMOUNTS, THE KIDNEYS CANNOT TAKE MUCH OF THE FUNCTION OF PURIFYING THE FOOD AND IT PASSES THE FUNCTION ON TO THE LIVER, WHICH TAKES ON THE TASK, SUBJECT TO IF YOU HAVE BEEN DRINKING A GOOD QUANTITY OF WATER. IF NOT THEN YOUR LIVER WILL START COMPLAINING. AND AVOID STATINS AND CONSULT A SPECIALIST, A DIABETOLOGIST.
