Lexapro is well tolerated by most people. The most commonly reported side effects of Lexapro are nausea, insomnia, problems with ejaculation, somnolence, increased sweating, fatigue, decreased libido, and anorgasmia. Most of the side effects experienced by patients taking Lexapro are mild to moderate and go away with continued treatment, and usually do not cause patients to stop taking Lexapro.
If you have concerns about any side effects, you should talk with your healthcare professional.
Do not stop taking Lexapro unless instructed to do so by your healthcare professional.
To get the best results, it is important to follow all of your healthcare professional's instructions about how and when you should take Lexapro.
You can continue to take 10 mg only and if the side effects are intolerable then please talk to your doctor.

you may be able to change the prescription to something more you but you could also ask for a bedtime relaxant to help you sleep,,the weight gain is unfortunate but in the long term it isn't something to worry over,,the main thing to treat is your mental well-being so giving yourself more worries will not help you,,see about another drug,,there are many out there.

Do what you feel is best. Whatever dosage that helps YOU!
I take 100mg Tegritol daily. Most people take 100mg 3x's daily! The 100mg - mini dose works best for ME!

PLEASE see your doctor!!!! It's scary to see how many people ask questions like that. The people here are not doctors....they are giving their opinions. A person should NEVER, EVER adjust their meds (especially psych meds)
