You probably have Herpes Simplex (Cold sores) and have caught it a drinking utensil or from a boyfriend or girlfriend you have been kissing, unfortunately there is no cure that I know of, you can ease the symptoms with medication until they are almost non-exist ant, but to my knowledge, no cure! If it's any comfort to you there are a high percentage of people with the problem. Also Genital Herpes which is far more of a problem to the sufferer. See if a doctor can prescribe something for you to reduce the inflammation. Good luck!

take an anti viral medication. there is no other treatment.
Treatment Of Cold Sores
Anti-viral medication is prescribed to reduce the severity of the outbreak and the duration of the outbreak. If pain is present, any OTC painkiller may be taken. Warm or cold compresses can be used to ease the pain of the sores.

Get to the pharmacy and ask the pharmacy for an anti-viral ointment or pill, such as aclovir.
The sooner you get something like that, the less likely the cold sore will get really nasty.

Herpes virus is what creates cold sores/fever blisters. You could be exposed to HSV-1 from drinking someone else's drink, used forks, sharing lip balm, and kissing an individual that has it. The red bumps are considerably unpleasant blisters that may show up in the vicinity of the lips, or possibly the interior of the mouth or nose, somewhere else on the face, and elsewhere on your skin.
Cold sores might come back simply because of elevated anxiety, colds, fever, winter weather, certain foods, or maybe excessive sun. The region could begin to itch, and then a blister will probably turn up. The blister may dry out and make a yellow crust. They can stick around from seven days to 14 days. You may try to hide the cold sore using foundation, but that usually will make it worse.
To do away with cold sores, an individual might consider covering them with a cold sore special ointment, apply lip balm with SPF 15, dab peppermint oil, ingest echinacea, vitamins C and vitamin E, as well as definitely avoiding touching it. By just adopting several changes in lifestyle, it really is feasible to reduce cold sores and also inhibit cold sores from reappearing.
