If you have fair skin, you probably look very good in dark brown almost black hair. But you are probably bored with that. So I sugguest putting in caramel highlights to warm up the tone. It all depends on your style. If you like to be funky or edgy, you could put really light blonde highlights in. I personally like to go with natural browns to coppery or blondes.

I work with a couple of asian girls who hilite their hair first then apply a color that is two to three levels lighter than what their natural is. anything too much lighter and it won't look nice
you can add any tone to the color that you choose- lighter brown, red, caramel, burgendy, mohagany all will look nice
any blond and you might not like it
