no expectations, no disappointments - it might sound simple..if one would swear by it, life is a good ride....

Most people are like that . Only people who have self-respect do not expect anything from others . They do not even expose thier penury. The character of people in these day s has degenerated to that extent that even well to do people are not ashamed of acceptiing something from otheres .They consider it a honour to accept alms!.

Maybe because they know what you are capable of. In any event, live up to your expectations, not someone else's. Just make sure you have goals. If you don't have any goals then look into getting a mentor(s) to help you so you don't go through life saying "I should've done this or I should've done that".

In many cases it's because they see so much potential in you and want you to excell. That's not a bad thing, but the pressure is a bit of a strain !

PEOPLE EXPECT ONLY FROM THEM WHOM THEY LOVE AND CARE. LIKE A BOY FRIEND EXPECT TOO MUCH LOVE FROM HER GIRL FRIEND. A SISTER EXPECT CARE FROM HIS BROTHER. PARENTS EXPECT GOOD BEHAVIOUR FROM THEIR KIDS.
THIS IS NATURE OF HUMAN BEING THAT HE EXPECT SOMETHING FROM THEIR LOVE ONE ONLY.

I think it is because some they see something in you which you may not see yourself. They don't want you to waste the gifts you have.
In my view, it is all out of love.
