yogurt is made by adding some starter culture bacteria like lactobacilus to warm milk and allow it to gel and some flavours, honey,fruits can also be added to it.it would be more creamy in texture whereas
curd is prepared by adding sour things like tamarind, lemon or vinegar buttermilk to the warm milk .The consistency depends upon the milk.

I dont think there is much difference beyween Yogurt and Curd.In India, we call it curd.In the western world they call it Yogurt.Otherwise the process of this from milk is the same.But we can buy different varieties of Yogurt and also in different flavours. If you are looking for plain curd, you should buy plain unsweetened Yogurt. Hope this helps!!!

Curd is an Indian version of yogurt, but from original cow/Buffalo milk..
