why do kids have to report to police when mum or dad hit them?

I'm frequently hit by mom and dad, but that's because (I think I must admit) I'm get really naughty (mostly because I had a fight with other kids). Although they frequently scold me, they never do it hard, may be because I'm a girl.
Unfortunately I have never learn from the past and running into same trouble and get scolded again.... :(.
So, before you report your parents, please check if you are naughty or not.

Because its not right hitting your child my brother went through the same thing and i got told of for it. My brother did something my dad didnt agree with anyway he told him off then later when i was alone with my brother he was holding his arm i forced him to show me, his arm was black and blue, i didnt know what to do cause he didnt want to mention it to mi mam.

Anyway i told my brother why dont we ask mum in sum1 elses point of view we wont say its you, we did that and straight away mi mam said let me look. We tried our best to say it wasnt my brother but she wasnt stupid anyway we got bk to my dads and he got a phone call, yep from social services after he got off the phone he had ago at us.

I was petrified incase he started on me anyway we found out it was mum she was scared for us my dad asked each of us do u think this was alrite i said well i dont think you should have done it so he chucked me out. Fair enough but still my brother stayed with dad.

I think he realy regretted it and we all get on like a house on fire and my dad has never lifted his hands or fists since.

So its wrong to hit a child. I have a 2 year old son who i wouldnt touch only on his hand a slight little tap to say hes been naughty but when he grows up itl be the sit down and talk no more slapping of course.

There is a difference between being repremanded and being assaulted. Children should never be assaulted and adults should know better no matter how far they are pushed.

If you are being beaten by one of your parents you have to tell someone. It is not your fault.

Yes if you do something wrong you should be punished in some way but NOT hit/assaulted etc..

I used to wonder about the no hitting thing. But then I thought what right do we have to hit others, would we like it if someone hit us? That made it make sense to me.

They don't have , but if they are being severely beaten then it's best for them.

But say you are spanked on the bottom and the most you get is maybe a red mark and that's it, the cops won't do anything. Being spanked on the bottom is not illegal. Unless they drew blood or bruised you in some way.

The reason why kids are getting out of control nowadays is because parents are not allowed to disipline them. Anything they do, whether they shout or hit theirs kids is considered abuse. Its wrong to beat a child till they turn blue and bleeding, but a slap here and there is not wrong. Children need to be disiplined.
