I shout all the time in my sleep (usually obscenities!) but I've only sleepwalked once. If it's something your Mum has just started doing then maybe she's stressed about something. Relaxation techniques may help her, but in the meantime, just make sure she can't fall down the stairs!

I've done that a couple of time apparently - obviously I don't remember it myself but I've been told about it after the event. Walking around, responding to questions - I'm no doctor so I don't know the health implications, but I wouldn't worry too much. The human brain is way complicated, and there's little virtue is trying to understand it too much. Just go with it :)

Sounds like your Mum has a great deal on her mind. Perhaps you could try and monitor how frequently it happens. If it happens very frequently then you need to recommend that she goes to see her GP. Sleepwalking can pose a danger to those doing it.

Best wishes to you. xx
