I am going to marmaris on friday for a week - any good advice and suggestions on places to go that are relatively safe etc, considering all the bombings etc???

Me and my family went to Marmaris in July, we loved it and have been here before.
We went on a really good boat trip, we paid about £8.00 each for a full day, including all alcholic drinks, toasties, lunch and a lot of entertainment.
Its a boat called Mega Diana, go to the marina and you will see all the boat trips, look for Diana. Its run by a guy called Ali. You are best off going after 6 on a night as that way the boat has returned and you get invited on and have a drink, you can then book, its a great day out.
We stayed in a place called Armutalan, its just on the outskirts but you can get to it very easily.
Book a turkish bath through your rep as a lot of hotels do their own any way. If you book from one of the street shops you dont know where you are going.

You will be able to find many Turkish Baths in Marmaris just make sure you go for the traditional baths where men and women either have separate facilities or separate hours. If you want a great experience let me suggest that you take a boat trip to Dalyan, there you can have a mud bath and bathe in the warm mineral springs and the Beach is beautiful it is called Caretta Caretta because it is where the sea turtles come every year to lay their eggs. Yes there have been bombings but to be scared is to let the terrorists win and we must never do that. Have a great trip.

take a taxi boat to ichmeler about 15 Min's away and there you will find the best baths at good prices marmaris is usually very busy and you have to share it with a number of people but ichmeler is a lot quieter usualy your the only one in there and its heaven make sure you have one soon as you get there as when you enjoy the sun your tan will last longer enjoy holiday

Great Turkish baths went for a fortnight and stayed a month it was that good

in turkey there are som many tour guides advertising what they do everywhere you ask one of them and they'll tell you its full of em
