tell your dad that you want to spend a day with him doing what ever he wants look at the wedding pics have a beer with him . go grab a burger . I'm a DAD and its these little times that he will remember later . like baiting your hook or laughing as you try to pull a tough weed in the garden .
As you get older you wont have time to spare with a family of your own to raise, so just sit and drink in each others company over a coffee and biscuit talk about things in your past that he has done with you .

Get him a gift card to a restaurant, Red Lobster or some place. As you mentioned he has a bad back maybe a back message, one of those ones you put in a chair and has heat and message with it. Write him a ton of notes and hide them all over the house saying that he is the greatest dad and explain on each letter one more reason he is great. Here are a few ideas, hope you find something good.Congrats on getting married. Wishing you and your new husband ( and your dad) blessings upon blessings.

fathers usually like showing off infront of their friends when they recieve a gift from their children. which means they would appreciate anything you would ever gift them.
in my opinion, it best suits a father one of the below items:
a tie, a pair of cotton socks, a key ring, a watch, a wallet, a nice looking pen, sunglasses of his favorite shade.
Remember, it's not the price or quality of the stuff you give him or prepare for him, but it's the love, care and respect you attach with them, makes him the happiest.
congratulations for your wedding !

A seat cushion for his car seat if he doesn't have one.
A jersey with his favorite team and player.
A coffee maker so he make his own coffee.
A foot massager for soaking his feet
A gift card from Wal-mart
A DVD series
A CD
A kit so that he can trim and cut his own hair
A cheap radio for his kitchen, den, garage, or bedroom
A cheap fax machine
Matching neckties and belts - 2 sets minimum
That's all I can think of for now...

I think that the greatest gift that you can give him....is time... you may buy football tickets for 2,for you and your father .. or you may treat him a movie or a simple lunch... not too expensive... just enough for your budget..

"I Love You Dad" picture frame of you (or you & him) that he can sit on his desk at work. Write a personal message on the back that he can read - maybe a Thank you. He will always remember it.

Take him to dinner, just you and him and tell him how much you love him and how much you really appreciate all he has done for you. That's all a parent really wants.
