You say lose weight and still be healthy like the two are opposites.

The simple truth is that if you lose weight you WILL be healthy.

As long as you follow a sensible diet plan and cut down on carbs and fatty foods but maintain a sensible and varied diet combined with exercise then you will lose weight and become healthier.

Cut out all the fatty foods and carbs - fast food, cream, cakes, biscuits (cookies), bread, pasta, fizzy drinks and alcohol and introduce plenty of fresh fruit and nuts together with some small amount of lean meat and plenty of water. Small means not American-size portions. Eat no more food than will cover a saucer in any one meal (that's a normal size saucer, not a dinner plate the size of the hub cap on a truck!).

Exercise every day - more than just walking to your car in the driveway. Work your way up gradually but aim to walk a mile a day at least in the first month and build up from there. That's walking, not ambling along - walk like you're late for an important appointment - get hot and sweaty... that means you're actually exercising.

And stick with it - there will come a point when your body has burned all the sugar reserves in your body and you will feel like HELL - this is because your body is switching over to burning the fat you want to get rid of. This witch-over takes a few days but stick with it. Once you are over this phase you will be burning fat and losing weight.

Good luck!

That means less fat and more lean muscle mass. Weight training and a high protein diet will do the magic. Include fibre rich foods, vegetables, fruits, nuts, fish in your diet. Drink plenty of water. Enough rest between workouts.
Take anti obesity drugs if you are clinically obese.
