Wella SP sensitive is good as well as the remove shampoo and conditioner. the remove is extremely good if your scalp is falky my boyfriend has a realli bad problem but only uses the remove shampoo and that clears up flakiness and itching within 3-4 days. the senseitve has is gd as well as it very mild and doesn't irritate the scalp. You can only get SP from hairdressers but although its expensive to start with a bottle about £8 a bottle can last between 4- 10 months depending on if you use it right as it is very concentrated.

Alphosyl is pretty good.

Something I have to tell you is that after having mild/moderate scalp lesions for 30 years that I could only control not shift I have just been cleared by a combination of treatments. I have been on Dovonex solution for a few years and it was OK then the GP suggested I tried a combination solution of Dovonex and Bentnovate (I have had this seperately in the past with little benefitial effects). The results were staggering. Within 2 weeks I had clear normal scalp and now don't even use the solution. Its been about 2 months and no recurrence as yet. I am so happy.

My husband had psorias on his scalp a few years ago he got this thick cream off the doctor cant remember the name, but you put it on your head for an hour then he had to use a comb to comb out the skin then washed it off, that got rid of it, now he uses Neutrogena T/Gel therapeutic shampoo and that keeps it under control, it is a bit on the pricey side though and i know it has that smell you was saying about, but i dont really notice the smell i think its ok.

Seriously - try rubbing a little olive oil into the effected area and leave for as long as possible (overnight if possible). I went to a specialist and tried everything under the sun, in the end she told me to try olive oil and it worked, the skin justs needed an extra boost of moisture.
When washing your hair use kind shampoos that wont irritate your scalp, Head and Shoulders, Dove or Simple.

Try tea tree oil based shampoo from the body shop, and then Oilatum available from the chemists. The Oilatum acts as a heavy duty conditioner, but moisturises your scalp.

The old coal tar was the best & still is , It's quite expensive but on perscribtion is ok. I used it lots when I was younger, and now It's all gone. You can always finish with a nice conditioner.

Any shampoo that contains tea tree oil will help not only does it smell nice but it will give a cooling, tingly sensation.
