I would say being professional. The worst thing that could happen is having the whole company in your business. And if things with you don't work out, or if you have a disagreement, you do not want for people to take it out of hand.

He could be embarrassed, but more than likely he's not. He probably does not want everyone at work all up in your business and all the drama that goes along with that. Plus, you both have an obligation to maintain your professionalism at work and not create a conflict of interest by bringing your personal lives into the work environment. If you're still worried about it, talk to him. That's the best way to find out what's on his mind.

I guess if he was embarrassed he wouldn't have been with you anyway. Why should he risk his reputation???
I think he's professional and if you think about it he's right. Why should everybody at work know about your affair and gossip you all the time. Even an innocent gesture will appear a reason to talk in their eyes.
Check how things are with his other friends. Does he introduce you to them? Do you all hang out together? If he does, then there's nothing to worry about.

why will he be embarrassed? what's the point of feeling that way?
i don't think he's being professional because if he is professional he would not be sneaking kisses at work nor call you during working time.
maybe, the proper questions there are: does he have clean intentions or he is just immature?
be careful lady....

depemds on the job situation. in a lot of places, both of you would get fired. in other situations, many co-workers would look very unfavorably on it. just keep it discreet. if this is serious, you might want to figure out what would happen if you got married. that could still cause problems with company nepotism policies. good luck.

well you could ask him and know for sure....but a lot of places do not like for the employees to date each other...it can cause trouble in the work place...he may just be trying to be more professional...but if some have seen you looks like word of mouth would get around anyway...so i would ask him...and he may just be taking it slow for now....only he knows for sure....
