what you have heard is right. our bodies are still used to the 1000 year pracitces when the ensesters of mankind faced long periods of starvation (for ex. when the guy members of the troop where unlucky at hunting and all the whole tribe got to eat for days or weeks where a few berries the woman collected). in these periods the human body started to slow down the metabolysm and put the body in "survival mode". if you are planning to loose waight by starving yourself then no matter howmuch you exercise the weight will come back once you start to eat properly. if you exercise on a regular bais a balanced diet is necessary (for mere survival and keeping the metabolism going at least 1200-1600 cal is needed, plus the calories you burn with exercise is about the proper cal intake)...
you also have to consult a doc and maybe a nutrition specalist, they can exectly tell what is the required cal intake in your case.

mind one thing: express results only wreck your health, diet pills and remedies make you sick. try to do thing step-by-step:)

Eating means adding energy through various metabolism processes where nutrients are asimilated to the body functions. In absence of eating it means that stoping metabolism hence no supply of nutrients to the body. In such situation, the body will start using the stored nutrients including fat to supply the energy to body functions. In the long run, the stored nutrients/fats will all burn out and consequently lack of energy for body fuctionsand finally death.!

Yes...people are just making it up so that you won't do it. But the truth of the matter is:

You weight is a direct result of how much you eat...so if you aren't eating then you will lose weight.

But I don't recommend this. It isn't healthy. Cut your daily calorie intake by 500 calories and do cardio workouts 5-6 days a week for 30-40 minutes.

The body needs a certain amount of fuel to enable it to burn fat so if you stop eating completely, your body will indeed, hang onto what fat it has got for as long as it can.

If you do not have fat to burn then yes, your body will begin hording fat, however, if you have excess fat and your body is still receiving it's nutrition then it will burn the fat off your body by going into a mild state of ketosis.

Actually if you eat well your body will save the extra fat in the tissues for the future. And when you exercise it is released. So eat well, exercise well, keep fit.

It's true. If your body thinks it's starving it becomes almost impossible to lose weight. If you're going to fast you are much better off on a controlled one in which you eat small portions of protein (beans, nuts, etc...) spread throughout the day.

Your metobablism slows down to preserve energy. So you are better to eat little and often to keep it at its highest level. then exercise as well. not eating will damage your body, as it will take nutients from other parts for most important parts.

That's just stupid!

You will end up making yourself really ill or even killing yourself!

Not eating and working out is not the answer to losing weight, you still have to eat, whether it be only vegetables, fresh fruit and lots of water

Don't make yourself ill, your worth more than that.
