You could try a slendertone stomach belt, mild electric impulses are sent into the stomach area which tone the muscle area. Running on a treadmill can reduce fat combined with toning using an Exercise ball or Stomach rocker. A personal trainer and gym membership would be cheaper and a lot safer than surgery. Surgery on the stomach area often leads to Keloid scars (thick scarring).

I think it's all down to genetics. My aunt has always been skinny with a flat stomach, and still is despite having 4 children - she only gave birth to the last one 6 months ago.
My mum on the other hand has hidden her stomach ever since she had her first child. Mind you it wasn't particularly flat in the first place...
So basically yes it is possible as long as genes are on your side, and if you have a flat stomach already I'd say they probably are!

I have had 4 children and with each one I got down to my pre-pregnancy size, except the last. I think that is because I got my tubes tied. I only weigh about 20 lbs more than I did before, but it is still bothering because I can't get my bottom into any of my jeans that I wore before. My stomach isn't flat, but, I don't work out enough to expect that.

I suppose it depends how big your bump was , my last baby was 10lb6oz and i still look pregnant , shes 4 LOL. I think if you have no stretch marks you could possibly get a flat tum back , but if theres alot of stretch marks then i would doubt it as the skin has stretched so there will be an excess if you know what i mean but don`t quote me as im sure there`s going to be lots of varied answers for u ..

It really is an individual thing. They say that in some women, pregnancy stretches the muscles to a point where a totally flat stomach again can be impossible.

IF you had a flat stomach beforehand, then it's probably possible. Heidi Klum (yes, I recognize that she's practically Wonder Woman) is having her third child, and she's gotten back her perfect tummy after the first two. Hard work and good diet are a must, I think. Good luck!

Yes, but your are going to have to work for it (unfortunately!)
A great exercises is standing up straight and holding your tummy muscles tight. Before the actual exercises start working, you already look taller and thinner because you are standing properly, good eh.
Gentle sit ups work too, as does walking at a good pace, this also has the benefits of toning up your bum.
That good old favourite callanetics is great, but very eighties and bl**** hard work!
I would put some of these ideas into practise, if only I could be bothered to get of the couch!!

I have had 3 children and have a flat stomach. A natural birth helps and then to breast feed after that it is all exercise......
Not too much just more than before...I find training your tummy muscles to hold themselves tight when walking and sitting helped!!!!

Definately. If you are asking for yourself, hopefully you JUST had the baby. There's steps, and they're pretty much natural. First, I hope you've been able to breast feed. That's the first step for your body to know to contract back in shape. Next, eat well, not nasty. And of course, excersice for at least a few months. Nothing arduous, just enough to get your metabolism and your energy back up. It can be done, I did it myself. I look like I never had any kids.

There is probably a lot of truth in the genetics theory. But even if you are genetically skinny, it still takes a long time. Running around after kids helps a lot, but it took Ashtanga yoga to put mine right, and I've got the skinny genes.
