Two years of breast feeding is more than sufficient, but some children who feel less secured may take a longer time to wean.
The ideal way to wean is to breast feed the baby when its stomach is full and by applying neem oil on your breast before feeding the child

I breastfeed my daughter until she was about 9 months, then she just lost interest in it. She was too busy with everything else she was learning to do and didn't want to take the time to sit still and nurse! I gave her formula in a bottle until her first birthday and then stopped that and she started just drinking milk from a cup. I think I got lucky though because she was never overly attached to any of it. Maybe start by cutting back slowly, work down to just feeding at bedtime and then gradually work that out...maybe replace it with a bedtime story.

I breastfed both my children for 2 years. On their 2nd birthday, they were both completely weaned. The excitement of the birthdays and telling them they were getting to be "big girls" helped to distract them from it. I think we are all very close because of the bond that was formed the first years.
I would offer them milk in a "big girl cup," 1 percent is fine for a 2 yr. old, and just whatever you eat, only cut up into small portions. No spicy foods, or anything they could choke on, of course. They make vitamin supplements for babies and toddlers also.

start feeding the child by a bottle that has a nipple cap then he will definitely stop.
ideal age is 1 & 1/2 yr but it can be extended to 2yrs also but this is maximum after that u need not feed the child with ur breast .

When they can start eating what you eat is when to stop. All the nourishment they need can be found in healthy foods. 2 years is too old to still be breastfeeding.

Let's put it this way, I remember when I was nursed by my Mom and even remember people criticizing Her in front of me that I am too big to be feed like that.
