Hi everybody, I found a screensaver "Classic Art Gallery" with a painting within I like very much. It is a lonely girl on a field with 2 Buildings in the background; sample see here: http://www.topdownloads.net/screensavers/view.php?id=14829
No author nor contact adress is mentioned. It must be an American Painter I guess. Can anybody help ?

Yes indeed as Eddie A answered it is 'Christinas World' by Andrew Wyeth painted in 1948 and hangs in the Museum of Modern Art N.Y.

Here is a link about the house.
And one about the painting.

That's right about it being Christina's World by Andrew Wyeth. Christina was a real person ; a neighbour of Wyeth's and she was blind. That's what makes the painting so great.
