It means commitment, loyalty, friendship, trust and a whole host of other things, that should mean something to a couple. To share someones company that you enjoy being with, is a bonus, because I think growing old alone, must really be the pits.

Are you married?, or I'm sure you have been to wedding right? Well listen to to vows they usually say. Love & honor, also respect and trust is extremley important. You have to give in alot to the other person you marry which at times can suck, but if they are a good person they will never ask you to do anything that will hurt you or make you feel bad. Marriage is not easy, but what relationship is. If you truly love this person you seem to work thing out. Just never give up just because the laws have made it easy. Marriage is supose to be forever, be one of thoes who make it work. Good luck , and I hope this helps.

Well, it is a very unselfish thing to begin with a total commitment to another human being! It means getting past the `just dating and enjoying freedom' kind of thing. That is alright for a while, till you discover that there is someone around who you want to be with for the rest of your lives. It is an Honorable thing to do as well; honoring the person that you love; because it is not an easy-street kind of decision; and it takes guts and honesty and a lot more besides. But the rewards for putting more of yourself toward the happiness, health comfort and life long promise is that you have someone to share life with; and that's pretty special! And the little ones will have parents who they can trust will be around! Very nice indeed!

Usually marriage means the joining as one of two people together for a lifetime that is sanctioned by the society you live in and usually is it is sanctioned with a legal document that stipulates you're marriage. Of course there are other forms of marriage such as common law marriage in which two people have lived together for usually over seven to eight years. Marriage is usually a commitment of love ,perseverance, commitment in sickness and in health until death. Of course, there's always divorce in the wings.

marriage is suppose to be a sacred bond with two people that really love each other...suppose to be someone you can share all things in life with...someone you can trust and rely on if you need them...someone faithful and honest to you...marriage is suppose to be as the two of you are one...a closeness that noone should be able to tear apart...bear all things together good and the bad....making love that is so special because you love that person so very much and you love doing things together...working at this relationship, because even through this you have to work at the marriage to make it a good one....
