Hi!
It's not Jesus Christ who said this. It's Paul:
1Corinthians 15:31 "I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily."
It simply means my personal desires die everyday through things that happen to me, because I have Someone I live for, Christ Jesus. My personal ambitions of having to be elite guy in the society die daily.I was a prominent figure in my community before I received Christ but now I live someone who does not have social class for Christ's sake...I am a learned man, educated and have degrees but they are all dung to me because I received Christ.
Daily I die of myself to attain Christ...
Now that was my paraphrased meaning of "I die daily"
This should happen of any Christian...until we die of ourselves, we cannot serve Christ successfully...Jesus said we have to deny ourselves....
Now some of the Christians on YA! try to be "socially acceptable" to sinners by telling them that some things are ok to do...well, first we need to find out if they really have Christ in them. We should not be man pleasers!
Great question!God bless you!
Hug!

Cowards die many times before their deaths;
The valiant never taste of death but once.
William Shakespeare (1564 - 1616), "Hamlet", Act 3 scene 1
Jesus asked for his father to take the burden of his death off of him. He often said he was not the messiah. He didn't want to show off or destroy people like his dad had done for a few centuries. He was a coward (oh and not a god).
He should have smote down the ones who came into the garden and displayed his true power and completed his journey toward the dark side.
Great guy, who said good things, who people still take too far, and don't really follow.
Oh and be clear, Jesus never actually said anything, his friends and a few other editors did later on. Remember the phone game as a kid and Jedi mind tricks?

Did Christ say that? or do you mean Paul who said... "I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily" (1Cor 15:31)?
I think Paul was referring to the hardships and dangers he was going through for the sake of the faithful ministry.

Christ didn't say that, Paul wrote it to the Church at Corinth
1 Corinthians 15:31
I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Of self. Not physically, of course. But of our flesh or our will. Why? The most important commandement is to love God with everything we've got. The second most important is for us to love our neighbor as ourselves. If you think about it, just by satisfying both, you and I will satisfy all 10 commandments. No s"i"n, therefore, is possible. Sin is all about satisfying ourselves. We give our very best to God and we look out for others first and foremost. The result? God's happy. Others are happy and we will reap the rewards so we'll be happy too! So, yes, we need to daily die of ourselves and go with God. By the way, it was Paul who said it. Not Jesus.

It was actually Paul who said that... it means doing what Jesus said to do when He said to pick up your cross (the method of dying that Jesus went through) daily. So it would appear that Paul was carrying on that thought when he wrote the words "I die daily"

I think you are mistaken, it was Paul that said that in 1 Corinthians 15:31 I affirm, brethren, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. 32 If from human motives I fought with wild beasts at Ephesus, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, LET US EAT AND DRINK, FOR TOMORROW WE DIE.

Well, I'm not sure, but we all die daily - what comes at the end of life? Death. Every day you live is a day closer to your death.

while Jesus reported that he utilized it to those that may be Christ's anointed followers and did not notice to all in heaven. It additionally became implying that while we die we are loose to confirm on who we would like in heaven. God is a God of affection and if we would pick to be married in heaven we are able to be and if we don't pick to be sure by ability of the marriages on the earth we are able to be loose. wager we are able to ought to attend to have been given to heaven to confirm precisely what he meant.
