Yeah. The key to your question was "history". what you did in the past shouldn't matter now, it doesn't with me. I think that the experiences of our past, good or bad, make us the person that we are today. I'm interested in the person that is in front of me now and what occurred earlier in her life wouldn't really sway me and how I feel for her. Make sense?

It is usually the police officers that are abusive in the relationship. The cop husband has drinking problems and beats his wife or girlfriend. Very high rates of this among police officers. If you really like her then give her a chance. If she continues to hang out with criminal friends and gets in trouble then get away from her before she screws up your reputation. If she has changed and is living a decent lifestyle then stick with her.

I am a firm believer that people can change .. as long as the person is walking the correct path - why not.

Needless to say I have never been arrested, never done drugs as well. But we have all made some form of mistakes prior..

Yes, I am officer for 10 years, my first gf was arrested for shoplifting before I know her. What matter most to me is the future, so long she won't do it again when with me. As I can't bring myself to arrest her.

i think so. it depends realy. if the cop knows the partner enough. if the partner is angry alot and wont calm down easy, its a maybe. if the partner isnt so agressive, and can calm easy, then ya, go for it. im only 15, but every one tells me i have good sense. i hope this helps. :)
