no, its not the olympics. they way i see it, tiger probably has a small group of friends, and i think he feels that a lot of people don't know what its like for him. i'm not saying feel sorry for him, but in Roger i think he see someone that faces the same pressures he does being "the best in their sport". they have a lot in common they understand each other.

What does patriotism have to do with it? Just because Roddick is American and so is Woods? It's more a matter of one great athlete cheering for another...if this were a Davis or Ryder Cup match would be one thing...but this is the Open...nationalism shouldn't enter into it at all...the better man won, and he was supported by the best in another sport...big deal...don't make more out of it than it is...and frankly, it's nothing...

No, Roger Federer had just met him and invited him to sit in the friend's box. This isn't Davis Cup tennis--it's an open where everyone is on their own. Roger Federer is quite simply an unbelievably great tennis player!

hy would ask such a silly question? Do you think any man is entitled to cheer for a friend in an OPEN sporting event. This is not a team but an individual event. The answer is NO, patriotism is not in this equations.

finately NOT! Federer is the best at his sport, just like Tiger. If they are freinds he should be able to cheer for his buddy regardless of his nationality. It wasn't US versus ????? (Where is Roger from again:-)

Yes! Yes! And Yes! That was the FIRST thing I thought of when I saw him sitting next to "Camp Federer". Tiger's annoying anyways so it's not a big dissapointment to me but seriously, what the hell? Are you not an American? How in a million lifetimes would you dare connect yourself with someone who shares a skill level with you over a fellow countryman! IN FREAKING NEW YORK NO LESS! ON OUR SOIL! THE WEEKEND OF 9/11. Like I said, I always thought he was kind of a tool; but with that, stunt he just bought himself a one-way ticket to doucheland...

No. He was just supporting another master of his sport. I think it shows respect for another sport played by someone with a total different background to his. He should be applauded.

Not at all.
Tiger appreciates someone that is as serious about his tennis as Tiger is about Golf.
