Why a lot of racist jokes about Mexicans? When we should care more about Osama Bin Laden and his terrorist attacks. Mexicans and immigrants are working people trying to support their families. Its sad how this countries worries more about the people who is helping the economy than the guy that wishes the US would dissapear.

You ask a serious question and you desrve a serious response. Some people are simply racist, and there's nothing you can do about them, they'll always exist. It's sad, but there it is. But the vast majority of Americans aren't concerned about legal immigrants. Unfortunately though, legal immigrants often get unfairly lumped into the same catagory with illegals. And the fact is, illegals cost the taxpayers a great deal of money -- far more than the illegals contribute to the economy -- and that's why people are upset. They are not helping my economy. Illegals do not pay into taxes...which, hello...benefits me in no way. Legals start collecting on Social Security as soon as they boat over and quite frankly I don't even know if when I am old and Gray that I will be able to get it. Not to mention while illegals may or may not be working they are such a burden through taxes (by collecting a boatload of government services) that it doesn't even matter. They may as well be getting paid under the table too.
Illegals and legals help the economy from one standpoint...the governments. I forgot to mention that I have to live next to these illegals and legals who still think they live in a 3rd world country and are very trashy. I am not racist...and am not stereotyping...I live next to them. I know first hand.

I often wondered this myself, when I first started coming to yahoo A and asked this question few times....I finally came to the conclusion that, racism is alive and well in this country....I guess I was naive to think that we finally did away with racist attitudes, but, hate and ignorance will always be with us and part of some human minds....Thanks for the question!

we have many problems in the U.S. it is not as simple as just having to deal with terrorists and illegal immigration. we also have homeless, poverty, hungry children, child abuse, gangs, elderly without medical care, a deficit, a war, just to name a few. we need to work on all our problems not just one or two. as far as racist jokes about Mexicans? i think they are hilarious. so are racist white jokes, black jokes, Pollock jokes, blond jokes, priest jokes, etc, etc. lighten up dude
