it means that you have decided to move on with your life after a relationship with another person. you have decided not be affected by that person anymore and you have somehow recovered from the pain brought about by the relationship. you are now ready to open yourself for a new realtiosnhip.

getting over does not necessarily mean that you have forgotten the person because no matter what happened between you that person has already become a part of your life.

Getting over a person means being emotionally able to move on.

Sex and the City states it takes 1/2 the time you two are together to get over someone.

to me it means not crying about them and not thinking about them 24/7. And not having any hatred about what happened. Accepting the way things went down and not being bothered by it anymore

I feel it is-you feel nuetral towards them. No anger, hater, love, lust, crushes, ect. Being able to stand from a nuetral standpoint and see them simply as another human being. Being grateful for the lessons you learned from them and applying that to a newer, healthier, more fulfilling relationship.
