I love the snow and to be the first one in it! Autumn is my favortie because it is so cozy and I know winter is on it's way and I have a whole season to look forward to. Halloween/Samhain is my favorite, then Winter Solstice.

I agree about the snow. I'm afraid I like summer better though, because Ohio winters get so %^&$# COLD and then the heating bills are ridiculous. So if only it could snow when it's warm out-imagine how nice the cold snow would feel on your skin on a hot day;and the pure whiteness of the snow in contrast to the bright colors of the summer flowers.Only in a fairy tale....Oh, and Theodosious, you should be a poet. Lovely words in a sad world..On the other hand ,theres nothing quite like curling up with a cup of hot cocoa and looking out the window at the snow flying down, hypnotically soothing and inviting, almost as if it has a voice, saying "come out and play, dance and frolic with me,catch me on your tongue and taste my cold brightness";and how frisky my dogs get when it snows ;they race around the yard as if they are young again;the busy birds at the bird feeder, smoke pouring from chimneys against the deep, grey snow clouds. And all of you with your talk of spring and fall and all of their lovely attributes! it's enough to drive someone mad,but by my ramblings you can tell that I already am or at least half-mad.Thats it ,I like all of the seasons! So,now I guess I'll go and tend to my 15 cats,Have a lovely day!

The only thing I don't like about winter is the heating bills!
We are just about to start my favourite season here in Scotland which is the Autumn. The colours here are just mind blowing and there is a lovely smell in the air and I don't have to cut the grass!

I love the Autumn, I used to love going to Windsor Castle and looking across the Great Park at all the colours of the trees. And picking up conkers and kicking around in the leaves.
Most importantly my birthday is in the Autumn.

winter. every year i wish for snow. christmas, there is something about it, a warm, fuzzy happy feeling. buying prezzies for people. ever since i can remember, i raced my grandad in putting up the tree. i now know he was just getting me to do it. but a few days before the 1st of december he would say, "well, im going to put the tree up tomorrow". so the next day i would stay off school and put up the tree, spending hours making it perfect, just so i got to do it, before he got home from work. my favorate thing, even now!
there is an atmosphere in winter that i cant explain.
but its the best feeling ever.
ok wierd rambelings over, crazy lady signs off <-----------

autumn, in the evening the smell of leave burning on bomb fires, the soft, low mists that make the sunsets paint the sky with rich colours. at night the stars are brilliant in the clear cold skies. the dawns are glorious, the fallen leaves have a patina of frost, they crunch and swoosh as you walk through them. across the medows are a million spiders webs, draped in dew, sparkling like jewels. and further down the dark blue silhouettes of the woods emerge like magic from the fog. god, sometimes when i forget everything else i love England.

Autumn is my favourite Season of year....its not to cold or hot, and the leaves turn from green to yellows, browns and reds very nice.
But my favourite time of year is Christmas, as its so beautiful with all the lights and decorations, plus you get to be with your family and have a nice turkey dinner Mmmmm.

Spring, without a doubt :- hope, a fresh start, vibrant greens and the promise of summer. ( at least before global warming stamped on the cycle of nature ). PS, I don't want to sound like a know-all but please tell Cherry Boy that TS Eliot said "April is the cruellest month, breeding lilacs out of the dead land....." not May.

I love the summer. Don't have to worry about having warm enough clothes, can go swimming in the lake, no school for the kids, lots of picnics and barbecues...
