His paperwork has been processed if he's already at boot camp. He has passed through MEPS and taken the second and final oath.
Your fiance is guilty of a fraudulent enlistment if what you say about the recruiting office is true.
I have no idea how he can get out of his obligation, but i do know it will not be easy or painless.

First, the army doesn't give out university or any other type of degrees. If you mean by earning a degree using the in service GI Bill or the GI Bill after his period obligation then it was your boy friend's responsibility to verify the degree availability, not the recruiters'. Would you expect your civilian employer to figure out your degree program?
About 90% of the people that go to boot camp hate it at first and feel like it was a mistake. But they get over it, move on and finish.
If you have absolute, positive, documentation (and not just....well, he told me so....." ) that the recruiter falsified your friends requirement eligibility information than contact the area recruitment command and report the guy. It is a long shot but it's all you have. And by documentation I mean paperwork, papers the recruiters knowingly signed and that would stand up in a court of law.
Basically, if he held up his had and swore the oath; he's committed.

He CAN get out!! It is either 30 or 60 days into the military where you can *walk away* and it is erased from the record like it never was.
I found this out during A-school, a short time after that window had closed for me. Now, looking back on it, I am glad I didn't know, because I would have missed out on incredible opportunities, friendships, and never would have met my husband. And there is a certain sense of Honor, of pride in serving ones country that I am glad to have experienced. I suggest he stick it out and make the most of it. Yeah Effing recruiters are lying scum (they lied to me, too) but if you can get past all that... well I'm sure he can do it. And though trying, the military life (and the military wife) are both rewarding experiences.

First....The military has nothing to do with the degree you can get. He can go to what ever school he wants.
Second....With the false documents. That is not going to come back to his recruiter. After those papers are filled out (no matter what the recruiter told him to put) he signed it. Which means all of it was truthful. If he uses that excuse to get out he will be dishonarble discharged and he is going to have a hard time finding a job after that.
Its sounds to me that you b/f just cant hack it and thats why he wants out. Tell him to stop making up stories and just admit he misses mommy.

If he realy want to quit it easiest to talk to a a superior DI or comanding officer of the boot camp and explain the case. Remember that most militaries honor honor and truth even if it come late. What he shouldn't do is just leave the area and go ua because then the MP would place him in prison. Tell the truth all the time! That's best for him! Johan.

Your Fiance is just being a wimp, everything promised by a recruiter is in writing. If it wasn't promised, it wasn't written. Recruiters have been known to embelish alittle, but they don't promise degree programs, only that they will pay for college, and thats when the term of enlistment is complete. No GI Bill funds are availible before hand.
P.S. You see a future with a girly man like that? Good luck!

Oh, boo hoo ! Cry us a river....
Tell him to SUCK IT UP AND BE A MAN !
This is what's wrong with our country---young men that ARE NOT men, have no guts, backbone or courage. They get out into society, not willing to take on any responsibility as an adult male.
Defending this country and everything it stands for, is an adult responsibility...used to be just a MALE one; but not anymore. My nephew is the commander of a bomb unit that just left for Afghanistan...and he has not 1 but TWO young women on his team... 1 is married with a small baby...and still she went, gladly, to protect the freedoms we have here,; and unfortunatly, this includes your coward of a fiance.
And YES, I HAVE served, & would serve again if I could pass the physical...I am a woman and I will always be a member of the MARINE CORP. Semper Fi

if theres some falsified documents then bring it to the attention of the army. theyll come down like a ton of bricks on whoever falsified them. if the falsified documents concern your fiancee's fitness to be a soldier then he may get an administrative discharge or a medical one if the lies concern his health.

All worthwhile advice given is excellent (c'mon, calling the guy a f*g? Grow up...)Your fiancee may also want to consult an attorney. A lawyer with expertise in military afffairs will be his best friend in a situation like this.

Tell him to on to his superior officer. If he rebukes your fiance he makes a scene about it and gets out of the military. If the officer accepts the advance report it to the base commander and he's tossed out that way.
