Or any other organ for that matter. Doesn't it seem to you kind of odd how all miracles that happen are those that didn't seem absolutely impossible in the first place as opposed to those we know are entirely impossible? Like regrowing an arm.

P.S. I'm an atheist, so I don't need 20 of you storming in like "GOD ISN'T REAL." Thank you.

If stem cell research does it, it isn't god doing it.

Regina: He can, but he just never has. The one thing he could possibly do for us "blind unbelievers" to believe he refuses to do. Oh, and he'd also benefit the guy who regrows that limb.

The power of the mind....if you believe in something strong enough you can talk yourself into or out of anything (except growing limbs or eyes)...like the placebo effect.

You need to understand their is a characteristic of faith that is faith and science. God gave man the ability and knowledge to research and make (not create) things that seemed possible. Sometimes man does heed the call and decide to make medicine (miracle) for curing someone sick but sometimes man is just too lazy. I am sure there is a process out there that can do the above and not go against his wish. You need to realise that in order for miracle to be accepted it need to be in accordance to God ways. Even the devil does do some miracles

Miracles aren't real but medical science is and with stem cell research it may indeed be possible to grow new limbs and other body parts...one again science is the way forward not religion.

there is the story of Jesus healing the man who had been blind from birth... I do not remember if he had actual eye balls or if he had them, but just couldn't see.... or the woman who had the issue of blood (though it is not specified what her exact problem was) she was completely healed), or the crippled man that Jesus healed on the sabbath.... the mans legs were disfigured, Jesus told him to get up and carry his mat, and the man did... he was healed, and not only healed, but made whole...... those are the only things that I can think of right now.

He can prevent you from losing a limb (lions den, "3" men in fire, etc.)

actually "entirely" impossible: man raising from the dead after 3 (three) days... yet it did happen.

Obviously you are looking for something to believe in otherwise you would not have brought up the '"blind unbelievers" he will not do'... i assume that is to show himself to you.... even christians want this, but.... if that is what it is, and it did happen, then you would most likely die (or already be dead)........

many levites (priests) were killed when they entered the "holy of holies" ... they had to tie a rope around their waist so if they did die, then the others could drag them out of the temple.

I was going to answer this Q with..
Because he makes soup with the leftover parts...
a stupid answer for a stupid question
but then I thought about it....
for an athiest who doesn't believe in god or someone who doesn't understand the power of god it really is a relevant question..
The only thing I can say is even if you do not believe...seek god anyway...open your heart and don't be afraid...if he doesn't exist you really have nothing to lose by doing so.
but in the event you find him and the more you begin to understand..then you will realize how irrelevant this question is to someone who is a believer.

EDIT:
I don't mean to be a jerk but this guy Inthislifeofmine....
he's the type of person that makes athiests hate us so much!

He did when He was here, now-a-days miracles do happen to a certain extent, but lots of the times only people in the church know about it, when they try telling an atheist, they laugh and say it's not possible.
I know of a woman from church who the doctors said she could never have kids. her ovaries were dead, she prayed over 2 year to have a baby. she now has 2 kids. True~ i know the person

Hi atheist... I guess you don't count a 65 year old man, who's doctors said he had the heart of a 90 yo post heart attack, and 12 hours later (after prayer) said he had the heart of a healthy 40 yo...
