I don't have any problem with that personally because I always say there is no difference between men and women, but if all the girls do this then I don't think men can call them GIRLS....?

Are you kidding? Over HALF of all adolescents have had sex before age 16. And if you include oral sex as "sex" the percentage is higher.

In some US subcultures -- strict Muslims and Jews and Mormons and Southern Baptists and similar -- dating may be unknown and virginity at marriage prized. But in others -- notably the Children of God but in many nonreligious subcultures too -- virginity was derided as a physical obstacle to life and fun that should be disposed of right after puberty. The late Rev. David Berg taught that sex and religion were one, that God was present and a partner at orgasm and that masturbation and intercourse should be encouraged among teens. http://www.xfamily.org & http://www.excult.org Typically, his stepson Davidito had his first sex at 11 with one of the cult's young female teachers and with his mother watching. http://www.religionnewsblog.com/9922

So, you ask, is it a problem if girls have sex before marriage? The answer is: it all depends whom you ask.

There are many accounts on the Internet of serious studies by sexual anthropologists documenting early and promiscuous sex as a cultural norm. Peer pressure among some sexually-oriented naturists is such that few are virgins after puberty. In some groups -- like in some free-sex communes of the 1960s -- sex may not only be in public but with random partners. And "dogging" (whether called that or not) while mostly documented as to adults is common among teens as well. http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/dogging/

The advent of HIV/AIDS and the spread of other STDs only drove such subcultures deeper underground, and promoted a "closed circle" principle. Just as Warren Jeffs' Fundamentalist Church of Latter Day Saints http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_Jeffs -- which promotes polygamous marriage at 13 -- never had a known STD problem, neither do other promiscuous, sex-oriented groups that are closed to outsiders. And that is true no matter how many different partners each member has, so long as they come from within the group. And so long as there is no cheating, I suppose.

I wish I would have waited. I think that it's a gift that should be given only to those who you are truly in love with. I think that the more people you share your body with the more tainted your sexuality becomes. Instead of just getting to know one individuals body and likes/dislikes you have to keep track of different lovers... and then you subconsciously compare them to one another (even if you don't think you will) and this can cause problems in the long run. It's best to wait if you can. You'll never regret it. I have a friend who waited until marriage and she says it was the most beautiful gift she could have ever given her husband... men feel soooo special knowing they're the only ones (even the ones who claim they want a woman with "experience"). Men will say and do alot of things to sleep with you... but men are wired differently than women mentally... they can separate sex and love... women have a harder time doing so.

In some ways YES then in some ways NO because sometimes people make choices and some are bad and then some are good, and there are also times when some girls think that they have found the one who loves them so they go and have sex but it is best to wait on marriage cause then you will know for sure that guy loves you

No, off course not! Is it a problem if men have sex before marriage? I think young girls should wait until they are mature and everyone should use protection, to avoid unwanted pregnancies and diseases.

It's not a problem. In fact, it's very desirable. Virginity is *highly* overrated.

I much prefer dealing with a woman who has been in relationships before, feels comfortable with sex, and knows what to expect in a relationship - both physically and emotionally.

Ho! Ho! Ho!

I know I sound like Santa Claus, and it's a little too soon for the big man in the red suit, but your question is funny.

Many years ago girls were taught to be virgins before they get married.

Now that everything went down the drain, and I mean EVERYTHING, all I can say is...

Ho! Ho! Ho!

Bad idea.. society brain wash us into thinking sex is ok. But most societal problems are rooted by this sin.

Save it until you are married, if you aren't a virgin, stop and wait. Its more special and you'll be glad you did.
