it depends on many factors my friend.

First of all, it depends on how many situps you do(and MORE IMPORTANTLY, how much REST you give your abs....because muscles only start getting bigger during their RESTING PHASE

Another factor is the type and amount of food you eat...
eating fatty foods and doing situps isnt really gana work too well because as you may have already guessed, if you have fat around your stomach, u wont be able to see your abs...

If you stick to a strict routine, you will be able to see definate results within 4-6 weeks (depending on your body type and muscle regrowth times)

check out www.bodybuilding.com for mor info on ab workouts and programs and dieting etc etc!

And good luck with your training (its good to keep in mind that the ladies LOVE abs...so that could be a motivational factor for you!!)

Muscles have an incredibly wonderful memory... Usually it's only about 3 weeks if you keep at it every day.
but, you also need to cut out a few things in your diet to eccelerate it...like, fats, carbs, and sugars. (this includes, things MADE with these things...like BREADS, Pasta, Toritillas, etc.)

And finally, drink 2 gallons of water a DAY!
