My father is English, my mother is Chinese (from Hefei) , I was born in a Jewish neighborhood in New York City, went to college in Montreal, Canada and I live in rural Texas.

The best food here in Texas is barbecued beef brisket, slow cooked over a smokey fire made of mesquite and oak for 10-15 hours. Its served with pinto beans, cole slaw, corn bread and/or tortillas, and washed down with lots of sweet iced tea or a couple of bottles of Shiner brand Texas brewed beer.
