First Canadians, Native Americans and Inuit of the 50% or greater blood have many or most of the rights of citizens (not the right to vote and run for public office, etc.) in each other's country: Jay Treaty 1794: http://www.yale.edu/lawweb/avalon/diplomacy/britain/jaymenu.htm
Some of these tribes straddle the Canadian frontier, so it's logical that this should be so.
The Tohono O'odham http://www.uniset.ca/naty/maternity/azds_tohono.htm and the Texas Kickapoo http://www.bjgeiger.com/texas/history/indians/kickapoos.html do not have similar rights in Mexico (or the Mexican-born ones in the USA), and those of their tribe born in Mexico who cannot prove parentage by a U.S. citizen who resided in the USA for the requisite number of years (1 year if child is illegitimate; 5 or 10 years if married of which 2 of 4 have to be after age 14) do not have any rights in the USA at all: they are "illegal aliens". And that is true even if they were born in the USA but cannot prove it.
Until 1924 Native Americans were NOT U.S. CITIZENS. They were protégés, members of their own "sovereign nations". http://www.nebraskastudies.org/0700/frameset_reset.html?http://www.nebraskastudies.org/0700/stories/0701_0146.html
Native Americans and First Canadians do not have any monolithic view of how illegal aliens -- mostly members of indigenous tribes like the Triquis from Mexico -- see and are seen by other native American peoples, especially those who are represented on both sides of the border.
A number of members of tribes whose reservations (reserves) straddle the Canadian border have been involved in tax fraud. None, as far as I know, in immigration fraud. United States v. Pasquantino, 336 F.3d 321 (4th Cir. 2003) http://www.uniset.ca/other/cs5/336F3d321.html , aff'd 544 U.S. 349 (2005) http://supreme.justia.com/us/544/03-725/case.html

We want the illegal aliens deported, the illegals bring too many problems into our country. Too much money is spent on the illegals money that can be spent elsewhere.
BTW why bring race into it ? Indian, Black, Whites, Asians, Latinos etc. if they are citizens of this country that makes them Americans and have as much say as anyone else. Skin color doesn't matter in this issue. Around 85% of Americans want illegal immigration to stop. Now I know for a fact that 85% of the US is not white!!
~add on~ for ~EVI~ JUST maybe because they do have Indian blood running in their veins. (ever think about that?) Who are you to belittle someone for their heritage ?? Some might not have enough "percentage" to actually enroll, but that doesn't take away from their own personal family tree/ancestors. You don't like it too bad, but don't sit here and put people down for how much or how less their percentage is. You just end up making yourself look like an ***.
This article sums up the problems on the Tohono O'odham Reservation created by illegal aliens and lax borders.

I am probably a quarter Native. (Long story). I think that it is a bull claim the mexicans have on the land of California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas. It was originally native land not thiers. Also I am Anti-Illegal. With a dash of pro.

So many have Indian Ancestry many could answer you. But Rox is right. Race is not an issue . Most Americans do want the border closed. Some Reservations are helping the Minutemen with fencing. And blocking on their own land (link TV documentary-Walking the line). So it would appear that Americans (including those with Indian heritages ) are not happy with illegal immigration. And family members I know who are full Indian that is their view.

Playing Comanches and Mexicans
A couple of years ago, I came across BadEagle , David Yeagley’s blog; I don’t even remember what it was that brought me there; I think it was a link to something he’d written about Ward Churchill. I’d never heard of him before, and was intrigued as I began to read. His pride in both his heritage and in the USA was unique, and gave a window into the Indian experience to which I hadn’t been exposed.
So when I came across his take on the calls for Aztlan, well, I just had to share:
Now some Mexicans want the land back. As a Comanche Indian, I have a problem with that. We Comanches pushed the Spaniards out of Texas and eastern New Mexico over 200 years ago. Neither Spaniards nor Mexicans ever managed to return. Comanches used to ride across the Rio Grande every fall to attack Mexican villages, killing, scalping, plundering and carrying off captives and livestock. "Upwards of ten thousand head of horses and mules have already been carried off," wrote one English eyewitness. "…everywhere the people have been killed or captured… ranchos barricaded, and the inhabitants afraid to venture out of their doors." The truth is, Mexicans were helpless against us. So where did they get this idea that they used to own our land?

Most Native Americans that I know are against any form of amnesty whatsoever.
Hayleylov, I love Yeagley!! He is so smart. That was a good journal and he's written others as well. He is absolutely against illegal immigration. He even went so far as to say that illegal Mexicans were our enemies in one of his journals. He is brilliant. He has 5 degrees and is a doctor.
El Itioto, (bottom) I AM PART NATIVE, you imbecile. Stop following me around on here. I am AMERICAN, I go wherever I chose.

Pick up a history book and read about "Geronimo".He killed any and all Mexicans where ever he found them. If that's not enough for you, I'm 10% Cherokee and that part of me tells the illegals to get out as much as the rest of me does
