pralines are a southern candy, made with pecans.

Title: Mr Pibb Pralines
Makes 2 dozen pralines.
Categories: Candy
Yield: 12 servings

1 c Sugar; Granulated
1 c Brown Sugar; Dark; Packed
1 c Mr. Pibb
1 c Marshmallows; Miniature
Pecan Halves; *

* Use 2 to 3 cups of pecan halves.
Cook sugars and Mr. Pibb in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, then gradually bring to the soft ball stage (240ºF on candy the rmometer). Remove mixture from heat; stir in marshmallows and pecans. Mix vigorously until marshmallows dissolve.

Quickly drop by tablespoon on wax paper to cool.

NOTE: If Mr Pibb is not available in your area, use Dr. Pepper.

I'll have to give them a try too! Last time I had pralines was when I went down to New Orleans a couple years ago. They were awesome!

Never would have thought of making them with Mr. Pibb! Cool :o)

You could search on the Internet and visit a website for a recipe, but it might not be the same exact recipe and some websites give your computer viruses and other nasty things.

I searched for "mr. pibb pralines" on www.google.com and got results. You could try the search engine on www.yahoo.com as well.

Darn, I am visiting in Canada now, but live in New Orleans. I know lots of people with praline recipes.
