8cm RW-DVD dont play in DVD players.? How can I chose the best one.? I've gone through Sony DCR-DVD605E avbl in Bangkok. Reviews show DCR-DVD505 is good but I dont find in Bangkok.

basically, choose dvd if you want to shoot and not edit (yes they do play in dvd players). choose minidv if you want high quality and want to edit. if i were you, id choose minidv, because transferring minidv to dvd isnt "hell", its actually really easy if you have the software, which most manufacturers include with the camera. also, if you didnt mean to shoot something, its easier to edit it out, than with dvds. finally, they have better quality, are smaller, and cost about the same as dvd cams. hope this helps!
