I'm 17 but I have always dated older guys..Guys my age want a girl who looks like they just stepped out of a rap video...and to me older guys just seem more laid back and chill...when I was 14 I dated a 20 year old...yea yea I know but I knew him since I was little...and I dont find any guys my age attractive..right now I got the hots for a guy who is 25 he is very sweet and so hilarious I see him everyday and he is just an awesome guy..my mom said she would have no problem with me dating him cuz she knows he is very sweet..but know she is starting to like him and it's very confusing because when me and him flirt she gets upset..and I can tell she is develping a crush...but my mom is going thru that stage where she thinks all these younger guys like her...even ones my age..I find it funny but she is serious...and it's getting in the way of mine and his friendship...she told me she thinks he is handsome..so now everytime we talk I avoid any flirting and I kinda miss it, any suggestions?

look, if you were 21 and he was 34 it would be okay a bit of an age difference but not too bad .............. it isn't his age that bothers me its your mom.........
talk to him and find out what he thinks of your mom before you do anything (make sure he's not interested in her -you never know-) and how he feels about you ....also get things straight with your mom, just because she thinks hes handsome doesn't mean she wants to date him lots of guys are good looking... make sure she understands where you are coming from and your feelings for this guy...(being a parent, your happiness should should come before hers) also let your mom know that its creepy for her to "crush" on your guy friends - she needs to stop.... also, its not very motherly....... and it could give people the wrong impression of her...

Whats weird about that is when I was 16 I would date 20-25 yr olds and saw nothing wrong with it. Now I will be 23 this month and when my guy friends say they are dating 16 and 17 yr olds I just dont think its right.
You really should let your mom know how you feel and make sure he doesnt like her too and isnt just spending time with you to get closer to your mom.

Let your mom have him.theres plenty of old men out there who would love to date you.Also your moms not going through a stage where she thinks young guys are hitting on her. Young guys really are hitting on her.Im almost 34 and the other day a 17 year old on a bicycle was hitting on me.Young guys hit on anything under 50 that looks good so wise up.They want to get laid.My last date was 20 years old so if your moms not a sea monster she is really getting hit on by guys your age.

No bcause guys your own age are not matured enough to handle a relationship, and you have to be on the same page with someone you are dating, so we women tend to go for older men bcoz they are on the same maturity level with us, i am 22yrs old and the oldest i am willing to date is a 40-45 year old guy, guys my age are just not matured and have absolutely nothing to offer. so i will say you ar on th right track

you should talk to you mom and be real blunt. She needs to look for love some where else and not with you guy friends. Be honest with her and tell her whats on her mind. you may also try to find her an Internet site for single woman so she can find a "friend" of her own.

Theres' nothing wrong with it except that you're 17 and if you're having sex it's against the law in MOST places. Other than that go for it.

tel ur mom that u feel uncoftable. talking helps a lot. I mean I got friends just like u and i kinda feel the same guys our age are stupid and immature! and older guys understand more. so its ur man and tell ur mom u dont feel conftable of her crush and its ok if hse does just as it dont lead to some other things if u noe wat i mean.
