I would suggest that you don't stop eating ice-cream :) Unless you have a problem with diabetes.
You don't have to finish the whole stick! Ice cream only tastes good for the 1st few bites/licks. After that you're only "finishing" it up instead of "enjoying" it.

That's weird, I had the exact same problem today. I have to stop buying it. If you eat premium ice cream, cut down to Healthy Choice lowfat mint chip- that's what I'm trying to get off of.

Don't think about it, don't go to the frozen section in the supermarkets, don't go near ice cream palours. Eat more fruits instead.
If you really have to eat it, then go for no / low fat fruit flavoured frozen yogurt. Almost the same taste without the fat and guilt.

i love ice cream. My mom doesn't buy any, so I get really bad cravings every once in a while. You need will power.

start by not buying it - or go to the reduced fat or fat-free sugar free kind. Then it's OK to eat it!
