I don't know if this is it but there is a medical problem that causes bad breath. I don't remember what it is call (sorry) but it actually starts in the stomach. There are pills or vitiams a persson can take to help with the problem. Also my 14 year old drools, I think it is the age group or something my son will get busy or start talking and doesn't even know he is doing it. Any way you can try differant toothpaste or mouth washes and if that don't work see the doctor and see if there is something going on in the inside. It could be as easy as something they both eat that their stomachs don't handle right

Brushing their teeth three times a day as well as drinking a lot of cold water may help. Bad breath comes from either bacteria or for some people high body temps.

The problem may very well be with the throat or adenoids. Since he is drooling he may be having some difficulty swallowing due to swelling from infection that is so far back you cannot see it. Another reason may be from stomach problems. See a Dr. or an ear, nose, and throat specialist.

Check with the dentist that they haven't got gum problems, or decaying teeth, brushing sometimes isn't good enough. Make sure they drink enough water, stale saliva does smell bad cuz of bacteria.

This could be bacteria inside the mouth, often on the tounge. Ask your dentist about a tounge scraper or cleaner. Also, a mouthwash like Listerine that kills bacteria in the mouth.
