He's 2? That's really great that there's a class for him out there. Now. "Pushing" your baby is part of the job-to acheive, to learn, and to grow. Tae-kwon-do prmotes these things, as it does discipline and brotherhood. If he continues to show interest, then by all means, let him continue the classes. If he stops, show him something else, or try to find out the reason why he doesnt like it. Remember that if he tells you there's something wrong and you choose to ignore it, then you are pushing him in the sense that you wrote the question on. He is obviously a very precocious lil boy if he's doing those things at that age, so surely, he'd tell you if there is a problem.

Well how long are you going to be gone? That is a good pass time for what an hour a day, you should't give him too much just let him be a kid, when he gets older he won't remember this time of his life anyway. so I think the class is good for him. But he is going to think about you no matter what, you are his mommy, but if the trip to Korea is to benifet your family some =how then don't worry, as long your son is in good hands. Just hurry back and hug your little man.

2 years old in tae kwon do? Wow! How is he coping with it? If he's happy then let him be but if he's not dont push him. How long will you be gone?? No matter what he will still miss you! Ohh..how are you coping with that? Being away from your son? I can't even leave my son for 1 day...oh gosh! I miss him already...

If he likes the sport, you are not punishing him.He will miss you no matter how many sports will you send him to but that's not a reason to cut your travelling.Just explain him why you are away and when will you return. When yopu come back, don't forget to take a present for him.I have also travelled, leaving children under the age of 10 and they missed me but they also understood that Mommy has work and she has to do that work. Then she will be back. So,don't worry so much.If you are worried, your son will feel it and will also be worrying. If you are not so worried, your son will feel your strenght and will try to be strong either.Usually parent are more worried than children when they go somewhere.Everything is going to be OK.

as he is only two suggest some activities that he might want to do.
i have a two and a half year old and he always wants to be with his older brother who is seven.
we have offered for him to spend time with family and friends, list him into day care where he will have lots and lots to do, but do not think that just because you enrolled him in tae-kwon-do that your pushing him to far.

I don't think you are. I think he will love it, because kids have lots of energy and its a good way for him to use it in a productive manner. I took tae-kown-do for about four years starting at ten and I enjoyed it. Now that I look back on it, I think my mom put me in there because I was so hyper. I did enjoy going and it gave me a sense of accomplishment. I think it is a positive step for a child.

No your not....
It is actually a very good tactic, as long as he enjoys it, this way his learning and also will be busy, and when you get back it's a great ice-breaker to talk about all the things he learned. Believe me he'll have alot to tell you and show you.
Just be very attentive when he does.
And also always let him know how much you love him and I'm sure you do.
Good Luck!

No matter what u do he is still going to miss MOM, but keeping him busy will help and as long as he likes it you are doing just fine. Good Luck on your trip and call your son as often as possible.

As long as he is still enjoying it and is not overscheduled, I don't see a problem. I know you want to keep him busy while you're gone but he does need some down time just to relax and play.
