No I am not an atheist. I am open for persuasion, though. As I posted on another question I will be willing to declare myself as an atheist if anyone anywhere anytime can answer these questions.

Scientists state that all things came into creation at the point of the BIG BANG. But they have no answer for what was before the BIG BANG. So here's one question. If at some point in time there was nothing and then there was suddenly something, where did that something come from? I'm all ears.

Oh, yeah. But you might say it didn't come from anywhere. Matter has always existed. WOW. That sounds very similar to a Christian concept. It's called eternity. And that's where God exists in a spiritual sense.

Now question 2. If matter always existed before the BIG BANG but in a quiet non explosive form where did the energy come from that changed matter from non explosive to explosive. All scientists will concur that no chemical reaction can occur to change the state of energy of a chemical without being acted upon by an addition of some type of outside energy. So where did the energy come from to set off the BIG BANG.

Scientists love the laws of nature that they have "discovered" until those very laws lead them to the ultimate source of all knowledge --- God. At that point they tend to conveniently ignore the very same laws.

Yes, I'm an Atheist. It's the only rational position in the debate whether one should base their lives on a mystery (foolish) or the general consensus of facts in evidence.

Also, no one stands a chance of manipulating me.

I'm also an existentialist, which actually implies I stand for some sort of moral values, unlike "Atheist" which is just a simple denial of what everyone else seems to be saying without any evidence other than personal anecdotes. If there were no religions I wouldn't bother to ever mention I'm an Atheist. Just an Existentialist. It's more of a protest than a declaration of value. When I say I'm an Atheist, I'm implying that you're an idiot for believing such superstitious nonsense.

A scientist looks and craves for knowledge which leads to wisdom and finally his enlightment On the other hand in spiritualism u look for wisdom and enlightment first which ultimately leads u to knowledge. The basis of science is proof whereas basis of spiritualism is faith. In fact in science also u start with faith only without which u cannot build a theory . every great scientific theory /model starts with a hypothesis. What is hypothesis ? In fact it is faith/ intution. The gradual building up of various atomic models, from Rutherfords to electron clouds , the ring structure of benzene ring etc were intutions with faith .The scientist should be the first person to believe in God. by the way why do we have this wrong notion that scientist dont believe in God .this is a wrong myth which is being propogated.A scientist is synonymus with logic. after studying the structure of human brain , universe, atomic structure, genetic engineering etc how can a logical person ignore that there is no creator who owns these creations .A scientist if he believes that there is no creator of these scientific things then is the most unscientific person and illogical. Coming to spiritualistic side of it a person can never call himself a perfect and staunch atheist because an atheist is a person who dose not believe in the existence of God. but by doing so at least he believes in the non existence of God and therefore he cannot be an atheist because by definition atheist is a non believer . The minimum what we can do is believe in our existence and in creations outside us. the moment we do that we are not an atheist and we have accepted our creator.

Yeah I am. Well, technically I'm a Satanist, but that's an Atheistic religion. There's no anthropomorphic God OR devil. Just forces of nature at work here on earth where we, individuals, are the ultimate beings.

I'm an atheist because I'm a rational and freethinking person.

I might point out that you're all atheists with regard to Zeus, Jupiter, Apollo, Dionysus, Ra, Vishnu, Thor, Ea, elves, fairies, leprechauns, vampires, etc.

I am Agnostic but I lean more to the atheistic side than the theistic. I don't know the truth about deities nor do I feel it could be known in my own lifetime and will only positively know until after death. Until then, I remain highly skeptical about deities.

No....I don't "believe" in GOD like most religious people do but I must say that anyone who doesn't think thare is a higher order must have not examined things in depth. You don't have to believe in GOD with a personality to be a non atheist if this makes any sense to anyone.

I believe the very nature of consciousness should make one think there is a higher order...

I'm half agnostic and half atheist. I think it's POSSIBLE that there is a greater being, but not likely. I do not, however, beleive the poteital deity is anything like that of the Christian (Or any other religion for that matter) religion.
