This was said by Rene descartes ( a famous mathematician). :) and at the same time, someone please tell me how i pronounce his name : Rene Descartes.

This is what he said.

thanks loads ppl!!! you're saving my neck! :)

It's not present-day French; I know some spellings have changed since Descartes' day, but perhaps also you made some typos?

I didn't leave anything out (says he) except on purpose...I expected that certain people who claim to know everything would take every opportunity to say that I hadn't written anything that they didn't already know, if I had written clearly enough for them to understand.

"ranay daycart" :) ...

"I haven't left anything out", says he, "only on purpose... I had expected that certain people who boast that they know everything would not have passed up the opportunity to say that I hadn't written anything they wouldn't already have known before, if only i had expressed myself in a way understandable to them."

I've skipped nothing. "says he," that intentionally I have envisaged that certain people who brag to sçavoir everything auroient by missed to say that it have anything writes that they should have sçu before, if it should have gone rather comprehensible for them
