There is a difference between willful sin and passive sin. We all gain the knowledge and experience of sin from our parents. This is passive sin. Willful sin is when on thinks they are forgiven of their sins, so it doesn't matter what they do. We ignore the example of Moses, who couldn't enter the Promise Land simply because of one sin. But, the question is whether his sin was what he did, or that he thought in his heart that it would not count compared to all the good he did. He assumed to know the heart of God.
Christ said there was one sin that is without forgiveness, sin against the Holy Spirit. You sin against the Holy Spirit when you accept it in your heart, or have been reborn, than commit willful sin assuming that you are now protected. Assumptions can be a killer.
