Many many times. A spoiled child was throwing a tantrum cause it didn't get what it wanted so the mother swatted his but a few times.

I think theres is absoultely nothing wrong with giving your child a spanking, in public, if he is misbeavhing. Just as long as its done properly, adn for the right reasons. I ahve seen a woman unnecessarliy whip down the childs pants and give her a hard spanking for wanting candy.
Also, I don't think a child should be slapped in the face-that causes more pain then necessary.
But im all for a swift spanking when needed

Yes. Unfortunately I have seen many many children in public who were in serious NEED of a spanking. I know I got a smack on the bottom when I needed it and I am a better person for it. And I know my child is going to have the same. Child abuse is leaving a mark. A little pop on the bottom works wonders. I often wonder about these people who let their children run wild and then they act so surprised when they kids get in trouble when they grow up.

I believe that children should be spanked in public. That helps them learn no to break the rules because not only does it hurt them it embarrasses them. I dont believe in beating a child, or spanking them in anger though. I have witnessed it before and I do believe that you can tell when a spanking on a child is justifiable or not.

i dont have kids yet but i plan on spanking him only if he needs it.
people now adays let thier kids run around the store, knock things off the shelves etc and dont bat an eye at what they do. i dont see why, what is your excuse? you grab them before they make such a mess, racket whatever and give them a good pop on the butt. i agree that we shouldnt beat the crap out of them but make sure that they understand you are the one in charge not them!
i work at goodwill and i see it all the time. kids will be riding on toys and throwing things and we had a lady that had fallen once because it was her son that had rode on a bike and left it in front of her.
now tell me who is to blame?
i would see kids do this all the time and the parents act like nothing is wrong and just let them cut loose.
a spank on the butt even in public is what some of these kids need

I've spanked my kids in public. It's by far more embarrassing to them than anything else. I don't beat my children by any means, but a swat to the butt will straighten them right up. It's usually for being disrespectful, talking back, or just being downright bratty. Last time one of them got spanked we were in the local grocery store about 4 months ago, and my youngest (he's 8) decided to throw a fit because he didn't want to be there, and he didn't want to have, whatever it was we were making, for dinner, he wanted to go home, blah blah blah. He got one swat to the butt and told to knock it off, or he would go home with his Dad and not get any dinner. Needless to say, he straightened up, but he sulked the rest of the shopping trip.

I was in the store, at the checkout, and heard a mom tell her son repeatedly not to run out into the street when they got done at the store...but soon as they got outside..where did he go...the street. He almost got hit by....yours truly. She gave him a good spanking and hauled him away...better her spanking him than my car, I'd say.

i was spanked and i am a perfectly normal, well rounded individual who has a sense of morality and respect as a result of the disipline i recieved thanks to my parents. Kids do not have the ability to reason and a spank works. People need to start realising that disipline does wonders. take a look around you a t all the ill behaved children in this day in age as people are afraid to disipline in fear of being accused of abuse. Its time parents took control of there kids....kids are too young and inexperienced to rule!

At my sons Kinder excursion one of the little boys was crying cause he wanted to sit with the other kids not his mother. The mother then started slapping the boys face telling him to stop crying. I was horrified how can a kid stop crying when he's being inflicted with more pain and humiliation. Some parents really dont think of the emotional scars they are inflicting on their kids. Yes I spank my boys on occassion but never in public.

Yes, and the kid deserved it. But then again, I'm an advocate of spanking. He was running screaming and ripping stuff off the shelves of a store - his mom grabbed him and swatted him on the butt -nothing too extreme. But it solved his little throwing stuff down the aisle problem. IMO, more kids need spankings.
