legalization may be imminent, but if you think it is going to be as easy as a law signed soon that says 'here you a citizen' you are sadly delusional. it will still be a long hard road. as far as 'humane treatment for all those years of hard work', sorry that was the payoff for not being deported already, the government doesn't owe you a thing. this country is still the land of opportunity, but only for those that do not show hatred for it's laws. if, by chance, you do get legalized, there is a whole lot more laws, that you won't like, that you will have to abide by. I'm not sure you'll make it a year without going to prison with an attitude of a terrorist.
finally, your idea of 12 million bitter enemies is laughable at best. we tend to worry about those enemies that have resources and terroristic abilities. Mexico is not one of them

This in turn means all the jobs they used to do, will not be available to them. The new wave of illegalls will fill those jobs, the ones that can't join unions and be eligible for federal wages. Most of the Illegal Immigrants already pay taxes and would still use the health care system. I doubt that legalization is inevitable.
This has been going on for years . Its just getting worse and has been brought out because of the whole terrorism threat. The government will do what it has always done ignored it and enforce the laws previously set in place.
