I hear that when one gets to heaven, the only thing one does in the kingdom of heaven is.......worship God........for eternity??? Even worse, I hear that's all you do and that you don't get to see people like, let's say, your family. True or not? Personally, that seems kind of...well, boring.

Heard it from some church group pastor. (sigh) alright, alright. I'm agnostic.

Heaven is in your perception, your ability to appreciate the mundane in life, to delight in discovering new, exciting, interesting and sexy people.

"Heaven" is used by religion as a marketing ploy to secure your devotion to their church.

Heaven is the fact you are alive right now. You're already there, my friend. Don't let anyone tell you any different.....

I'll say if it was the way you described it, yes, it will be boring. But it is not so. From the beginning, God created man to serve Him and yes worship Him, but He made us as a family too. John 3:16 said "For God so loved the world (you) that He gave His only son, (Jesus) that whosoever (you) believes on Him will not perish, but have everlasting life. If you would accept Jesus Christ into your heart today, this very moment, you have passed from condemnation to life. You will then know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Heaven could never be a boring place. Because being among people like yourself is not boring, then Heaven would not be. Your friends and family, if they accept the Lord, will have the same pleasure to enjoy the bliss of Heaven. You don't have a hint or an idea how beautiful Heaven is. You should take up a Bible just for a minute and challenge the people who told you the myth about Heaven and prove the word for yourself. Read about that place call Heaven and see if that place that is described in Book of Revelation if it could be boring. Did they tell you about Hell, at all? If not, I think you would want to read about the both places in the Bible and weigh the pros and cons. My friend don't be fooled. The devil is a lier, because Jesus said that he is the father of lies, and he wants you and everyone else to think what you are thinking. But just know, that if you should die to day or tomorrow, you are either going to Heaven or to Hell. You have to make that choice now, right this very minute before you die. Think about that! God really does love you. You are wonderfully and fearfully made by the hands of a wonderful Creator. Let Him become a Heavenly Father to you right now and enjoy the bliss of His kingdom - Heaven. Love you with the love of the Lord and pray that you make the right choice.

First of all this heaven bit the there is a lot of misconception about that, God made the earth for a reason and that reason was for man to live on it(Isaiah45:18), not as a place to live for a while, and then go to another place ie. heaven, he made heaven as a place for himself and the angels to dwell, but there will be some people who do have the prospect of going to heaven for a specific reason and in Psalm45:16-17)tells us that they will be princes, which means that they will be princes in God's kingdom which will rule over the earth as a worldwide Government, so they will be appointed part of the Government or kingdom of God, ruling together with Jesus Christ from heaven for a thousand years and then Jesus will hand the Kingdom back over to his Father and God so you see this kingdom is something that people pray for when they follow Jesus model prayer in (Mathew 6:9) yet as you say many do not know what will be done in the kingdom and yet they expect to be going there. So you see, those going to heaven (144,000) will not be bored at all they will have plenty to do in the kingdom! Just like the subjects of that kingdom here on earth will have plenty to do starting with cleaning up the mess on the earth

Well that's twisted, for the bible doesn't say we all go to heaven, only a select few would be in heaven as part of the ruling class and the number is 144,000. The rest of us are to be resurrected here on an earthly paradise, unless they were truely wicked like murderers etc.... So yes you would see loved ones that you have lost when the resurrection comes and judgement day starts with the resurrection which will be during the 1,000 year rule, after the 1,000 year rule Satan will be released to see if we would still worship God with free will, also no where in the bible does it teach you about a spirit coming out of you when you die, for that comes from pagan beliefs that have been incorporated into christianity for the book of Genesis says he breathed life into man and made him a living soul, even down to every living creature Genesis refers to them as living souls and the dead are not concious of anything, there are plenty of references as the dead as being asleep knowing nothing of the living world

First of all if we are righteous, even a little, are families are together forever. Second I do agree that heaven is better then we can imagine. Third, you’ve heard this before, “what’s the highest form of praise?” Answer: emulating the person you love and follow. So if we become like Christ (and God) we emulate them and praise them forever. I agree though, It seems this whole wings in the clouds thing does sound like it could get boring fast. However, I also believe in eternal progression. Meaning, not only well we do what we like, we’ll be doing things we’ve never done before and learning. Now that’s sounds interesting.

Well first of all, I think that you should educate yourself and become more familiar with Gods words instead of hear-say. Before you even think of Heaven there is a life on earth that has to be lived to make it to the Pearly Gates of Heaven. You have to first accept The Lord as your personal savior, which you can do now sitting at the computer. The Bible States (Proverbs 24:5 A wise man is strong, And a man of knowledge increases power.) I think you should seek God for answers. (PRAY) and Read Gods word Holy Bible (King James Version) (recommended) New American Standard explains the Bible in better grammer. May God always be with you and Bless You! If any questions E-mail me.

In the first place, hardly anyone is going to heaven. According to the Bible, the earth was made for man and man for the earth. What a waste if everyone is leaving the planet!!! They aren't. In fact, many Churches ignore the fact that the Bible says "the meek will inherit the earth and they will live forever upon it" and also the fact that Jesus prayed for God's will to be done here. Why would he pray that if everyone is headed for heaven???? Life everlasting will be anything but boring. We will use 100 percent of our brains--have perfect bodies and never die. It will be a time for introspection and discovery--a time to do all and see all without Satan's influence to mess us up. Hope to see you there!!

I've heard many different theories, but never that one. Then again, only those who have been righteous in the eyes of God can go to heaven (from what I understand). And if that includes going to church every Sunday and following the commandments, wouldn't worshipping the lord for eternity be a good thing?

You hear, you heard, now pick up the good book and read for yourself and see if you can find anything in there about what you are going to do in heaven. It states that only 144,000 are to go to heaven and they will be Kings and Priest, to help Christ rule. Rule over what? The earth!!! God's plan was for Adam and Eve to live on earth for all eternity, not die and go to heaven. God is the same God as he was 6,000 years ago. His plans have not changed.

Christ said to the thief on the cross next to him "Today I will see you in Paradise". Paradise is the term for a Kings Garden. Think of the Taj Mahal. I cant think of a better thing to do then hang out in my nightgown all day singing God's praises and being with the ones I love.
