do not confuse AIT with BASIC ,unless soldier in question is attending OSUT (one station unit training) ask soldier or recuiter they will know, but back to question -AIT is way less restrictive than basic so any thing you can safely and or LEAGLY mail is cool.now that the soldier has some free time the value of POAGY BAIT (generic army slang for junk food,it does not mean anything bad) deminishes as they can even go clubing on weekends.I might suggest a nice shirt cause most soldiers bring jeans and sneakers to basic but shirts are not too swank!lol

Anything except for drugs, of course. The soldiers will have time to shop anyway, so send things found from your hometown or something homemade.

Anything you like. We do not have a military society that prohibits. Just so long as it isn't illegal drugs or something of the sort.

Just use common since on what to send. It's a no-brainer as far as drugs, alcohol, porn, knives, guns, needles.

If he is Infantry just send letters or a hell of a lot of cookies. He will share whatever you send him with his platoon. You just do that when you are Infantry.
Other m.o.s.'s I can't say.
I was/am Infantry. Follow me.
