No one is born gay. Some people choose to live the homosexual lifestyle.
Just because you are attracted to someone of the same sex doesn't mean you "have" to act on it.
Sin is a choice!
Grace to you and God Bless!

The single most socially divisive thing in this decade has to be the "gay is a sin" argument. It's one of the few remaining justifications for discrimination and fostering of hate.
No, HATE is the sin. Love, whether it be same sex or between sexes, is a beautiful thing and should not be vilified because you were taught that it's bad.
It hasn't been that long ago that people were dead set that interracial relationships should be punishable by law. Time will heal, we'll learn from our mistakes, and eventually the discrimination will lessen.

Obviously temptation is not the same as sin. Even Jesus was tempted in the desert. If a person is sexually attracted to another (same or opposite sex) but does not act upon this attraction, there is no sin. In fact, it is praiseworthy to resist temptation.

I think you are right. Our church does not accept a gay lifestyle. An acquaintance I made that was homosexual explained to me that he was trying to be a worthy Christian and was in counseling with his priesthood leader. He was told that even though he had sexual feelings toward his partner, that if he would refrain from performing sexual acts with him that he would be on the right path.
This man also mentioned how terribly difficult it was to live with someone you loved and not be able to consumate the relationship. This has to be a tremendous trial for homosexual Christians, and if they can overcome the temptation, I know there will be a good place for them in eternity.

The Bible says that it's a sin if you lie with another man as you would with a woman. So, you do have to have sex with them. Sexual fantasies also count as sin though since it says that looking on someone with lust is the same as committing adultery.
It's all really bs though. God is imaginary so don't worry about having sex with guys.

Sin includes doing something to hurt yourself or others. People with gay proclivities are sometimes more aware of what they might do to hurt themselves or others. Thinking things out isn't a sin.

Having strong feelings for someone of the same sex is fine - it is acting on those feelings in a sexual manner that is the problem.
