I am having such a hard time finding a job that I really like and co-workers have been making it hard for the last year (since I moved away from my dads house). I cannot decide what I would like to do in my life and I am afraid that I am messing up my future when I am working in cosmetology, what I went to school for. Please say a prayer for me that I find what I am to do in this world! I am so confused!
I feel that I am waisting time there and I dont know what direction to go in my life. I am going broke, paying rent is a struggle and my car is about to be reposessed.. I appreciate any encouraging words and dont want any negativity here, please! Just please pray for me!

How refreshing to hear the words of one who has their heart tuned toward God! That is seldom what I see on this forum. Rather than responding to defend the Son of God I have an opportunity to simply reach out and be a help to a believer. You got it. Your prayer has just been sent by knee-mail!

Consider this. We are to pray like everything depends upon God. Then we use the wisdom God has given us. I would recommend that you look for a congregation of believers who have a Christian based counseling program available. Sometimes it's hard to see a way out when you are in the middle of the mess. That's when God sends you someone that can listen and help you navigate these troubled waters. God has prepared someone to help you. You just need to knock on his or her door.

Hello, Roo,
I will pray for you. I hope that you are attending religious services, and find some comfort there. Asking for prayers is a very positive step.
Do not let fear rule your life! Make a list of your interests, talents, and skills. Perhaps something on the list will give you an idea for a new direction in life.
Several times a day, find a quiet spot and do 5 minutes of deep breathing. It will help you calm yourself, and you will feel better.
There are many great resources online for learning to budget and live less expensively. (Search words like "Frugal," "Tightwad" and "Budget".)
Most important: don't give up! Have faith and hope.
Best wishes,
Sher

Cosmetology is something you can do for the rest of your life if you enjoy it. You can make a rreeeaaaalllly good living at it and it is always something you can find a job doing. You should be proud of yourself for at least doing something. Just think, you could have your own salon where you dont have to deal with any coworkers unless you want to.

Dont be so upset. Life can be stressful but we always seem to make it through, right? I have just moved from FL to NC with only my 4 yr old son. I dont know anyone here and am down to my last two hundred dollars and still cant find a job but mixed with my worry is the knowledge that I will get through it for my son. Good luck to us both :)

Sometimes life takes unexpected turns and we feel a little lost but you have to remember, you weren't put on this earth to fall into oblivion. Our lives are blessed with seasons and you appear to be in Autumn. The leaves are turning colors around you ... colors of opportunity as one door closes, so too will others open.

Look around you. What do you do best? What brings you the satisfaction in being of service to others. What is within your imagination where your creative nature lives? Look. Think about your attributes and take a step foreword. Once the body moves, the mid follows and your future will manifest.

This could simply be a case of, "Out with the old, in with the new." Jump above your obstacles and look out at the big picture. Things could turn out better than they were before ... Good Luck!

You will be okay. You will find something that works for you and pays the bills, and you will be happy with your life.

Keep in mind that you have your whole life ahead of you, and it's never too late to be what you might've been.

I sympathize with your plight. I entered the "adult" world with firm convictions of what I thought I wanted to do, only to find out a few years later that I'd made a mistake. That totally flipped my world upside down, but I trusted that God knew what he was doing with me, and things seem to be moving in the right direction again.

I will pray that you find the path and direction you are looking for.

If you want to talk, feel free to drop me an email and we can set up a chat if you'd like. I'm online now (1:10 am est).

There is too much emphasis on people getting on and being productive and having A Plan, when often we need to slow down and calm down and let it ride for a while...

I have always found that confusion comes when I try too hard, and it feels better when I just do things to relax, and wait. Waiting is hard! But this confusion will pass...

P.S. life without a car ain't so bad, I haven't had one in years! Perhaps you will get more exercise and be healthier. Perhaps you could look at losing the car as a way to ease the pressure on you rent-wise, as a gift.

I will pray for you.
Now, encouraging words. You said you moved from your dads house. Have you joined a church in your area?
Join the women's group in your church and ask for help and ideas. Find help from women with faith. They will lead you in a good way that works best for you.
I was a hairstylist by trade before getting carpel tunnel and I know how hard it is being a person of faith in a salon.
I have never heard so much gossip in my life and foul language.
You will find what is right for you, have faith.

Last words for you-
Anything can lead you into one direction or the other, but only GOD gives you peace on your decisions. Only GOD. If it doesn't bring you peace and lets you know you are living in his will, it is the wrong choice.

Sister in Christ, consider it done. Keep the faith and put your trust in the Lord. Remember what Jesus said, you who are burdened and heavy ladden, come to me and I will give you rest.
Jesus is always there to take our hands and lead us through the valley and help us reach the top of the mountain.

Also have you ever tried checking the local college around where you live, they somtimes have a test you can take to see if you are doing what you are best suited to do. You may like what you do but it may not be what you need to do inorder to make a good living.
God Bless You.

Doin' very minute

Roo - here is the encouraging word from Jesus
Matthew 6
25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[b]?
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

First of all the devil is the author of confusion. God is the author of peace. So we can establish what is going on here with you is of the devil. You need direction and guidance in your life. Prayer alone wouldn't do. You need to have a person of strong faith in God who has been where you are and understands your need. I know of one who can help you up, not to condemn you, be a prayer partner with and for you. Please call this number and leave you name and contact number and the person will get back to you and talk to you and get you the right help and pray for you. Be bless. (917-842-4919). Lord give my sister the right guidance she needs at this time in her greatest need and dismay. You love her Lord. You said if we call upon you that you will answer us and show us great and mighty things that we do not know. I command your peace and rest upon my sister now in the name of Jesus and grant her perception and understanding, wisdom and knowledge to move ahead. I reverse her situation and Lord provide her every need, right this minute - guide her with your eyes and uplift her with your right hand. Send the right people her way to to be channels of blessing today. I pray that she will purposely seek your face and not only your hand. That she will devote her life unto you, so she can become a blessing and not a curse. She will be heal and not sick, wealthy and not poor. Grant these petition that I asked on behalf of my sister in the name of Jesus Christ. God loves you and I love you with the love of the Lord. May His peace be with you continually and rest in His mercy and grace.
