a sacred day where we take a moment to reflect?

any other normal day and at the end of it, thank God that you didn't have to die?

just treat it like any other day from start to finish?

I feel you have to look in your heart and decide how you need to treat it. As for me, I take time to do something in remembrance for those that lost their lives that day, be it the innocents on ground zero, on the plane that crashed, at the pentagon, or the ones who lost their lives trying to save others. At work, we had cakes made to say 'thank you' and delivered them to our local police departments, fire departments, EMS and we even took one to our hospital. They appreciated the efforts and we said thank you to men and women that risk their lives daily to save ours. I do disagree, tho, it will never be forgotten, just as Pearl Harbor is not forgotten. Some choose not to honor these days, but that is their choice.

A sacrad day where you take a moment to reflect and fly the flag & listen to the best song that fits today "Patriot Day". Song from Darryl Worley "Have You Forgotten". Everyone should check this song out. It will bring you back into 9/11/2001.

I hear people saying we don't need this war
I say there's some things worth fighting for
What about our freedom and this piece of ground?
We didn't get to keep 'em by backing down
They say we don't realize the mess we're getting in
Before you start preaching
Let me ask you this my friend

CHORUS 1
Have you forgotten how it felt that day
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away?
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside
Going through a living hell
And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

They took all the footage off my T.V.
Said it's too disturbing for you and me
It'll just breed anger that's what the experts say
If it was up to me I'd show it every day
Some say this country's just out looking for a fight
After 9/11 man I'd have to say that's right

CHORUS 1
Have you forgotten how it felt that day
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away?
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside
Going through a living hell
And we vowed to get the ones behind Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

I've been there with the soldiers
Who've gone away to war
And you can bet that they remember
Just what they're fighting for

CHORUS 2
Have you forgotten all the people killed?
Yes, some went down like heroes in that Pennsylvania field
Have you forgotten about our Pentagon?
All the loved ones that we lost
And those left to carry on
Don't you tell me not to worry 'bout Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

Have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten?

Myself I just treat it like any other day. I may stop and think about all that died that day and feel sorry it happened, but I don't really think they should make such a big thing out of it. I feel it's disrespectful to the families of the victims that died that day. I mean I think a short memorial service would be great, even to broadcast, to remember all the ones that died and to give appreciation to the ones that risked there lives to rescue the ones they could. I just don't think they should show the whole thing burning and all that bad stuff. If I had had family that had died that day, it would just be to painful to watch. Just my opinion.

I think it has to be somewhat sacred, but I'd hate for it to turn into something like Presidents' Day or Labor Day where everyone just looked forward to a day off.

It's a shame there's not a happy medium. Good question.

With respect and equality. Especially help those people and support them who lost love ones or even family members. Have a moment of silence and pray to god and thank him for your family and you being okay and safe. God is the creator of all and he has put us in this world to remember him and only him. The reason why this world is the way it is with all the people going through difficulties is because we don't remember GOD.

It's sad that it happened-and I stop thank God for our troops kicking as s and that my as s isn't grass-and move on. You know, wallowing isn't going to reverse time; nor is it going to change who we lost-it's sad, but people need to move on. Never forget that day-it has molded our country in a way never thought before-but don't overrate-it is so irritating to me, when someone just wants to stir crap up about it, when they emotions they have towards the day are indifferent-not as affected by it, like others.

For me its a special day, with a lot of meaning. After that day my husband joined the military, and I wanted to, but my health wasnt good enough. It is a day that I remember that freedom isnt free and we must fight, not only for ourselves, but for everyone on this planet. We are all connected and we must stand together.

Go read this list:

And then realize that we just might have to do some distasteful things to ensure that we never have to see another list like that.

If you were not affected by it, or if you don't know anyone that was affected by it (physically), I would just treat it like a normal day.

It is a day like any other. Thousands of people die, so why the big deal. It will end up like pearl harbor, forgotten as time goes on.
