Oh yeah, this is BIG TROUBLE ahead. And you should report this to CPS. Take it from someone who was bitten by a dog when i was 8 years old. My uncle's German Shepherd always showed aggression every time we went to his house. He would always lock the dog in a room or an enclosed back porch, well, one day the dog got out and came straight for me and bit me right in my arm and the palm of my hand. The bite hit some nerves and i couldn't move my fingers for a week. if your friend is to stupid to see the danger in this, then use your smarts and common sense and do what's best for the kids. Don't wait until a child has to lose a finger or thumb or ear before you react. If your friend gets upset to bad. The safety of the kids should come first. why would your friend even keep a pet that the child is afraid of? i know first hand what an extremely aggressive dog can do. and the attack on me was completely unprovoked. Do the right thing now, report this dog to child protective services or animal control. you will feel guilty if one of those kids gets bitten and you could have prevented it. this is not a game. dog bites are serious!

You didn't say if this dog is a standard poodle or a miniature poodle. A bite from a standard poodle would be much more serious than a bite from a miniature poodle. You should ask your friend what they would think if one of the children got bitten by the dog. What would they do? Ask your friend if they shouldn't give the dog away since one child is so afraid of the dog. I would be very distressed if a child was bitten by a dog; especially one that could have been prevented. Your friend should either get rid of the dog or train it not to behave as it has been. I hope this helps.

Animal control won't do anything until the dog actually bites someone that reports it..or the doctor who stitches up the child reports it..
I am going to post a link here in just a minute, that you might show your friend..it is gruesome pics of children that have been bitten..
Here it is..these were mostly bitten by family pets> http://www.plasticsurgery4u.com/procedure_folder/face_lac_dogbite.html

You cant do anything about your friend. Or the dog, unfortunately. Dog bites are rarely fatal but could traumatize a child if bitten.Sounds like the dog is out of control.

Yup, it's a bite waiting to happen and it's going to happen to her kids. I'd report the dog. Try to do it anonymously so that your friendship won't be hurt.
If one of her kids is bitten too badly and she has to go to the hospital, the nurses and doctors HAVE to report it (I think) and not only could she lose the dog, but she could have CPS all over her butt for having a dangerous dog and not doing anything about it.

I agree...that dog has a huge agression issue...but there really is no way of handling it ur self until the worst happens...animal control will just keep askin if the animal has hurt any one or any other animals....so unless the dog is out killin cats, birds, or somethin else of the nature...nothing will be done.

Yes, a matter of time. AC can't do anything about it.
She needs a trainers help. NOT a furbaby trainer like they have at Petsmart and Petco, but a trainer experienced with dealing with aggression.
She is asking for trouble, but it doesn't sound like she is aware of it.

Yes. The Child Protective Agency should be notified. Children have been killed by aggressive dogs. Your friend is playing with fire.
