Have you ever asked yourself that? Are you a Christian with your heart and mind in the world and your feet in the church? Or, are you the kind that seeks to do God's will as revealed in Scripture?

Whichever one you are, the Bible tells you to examine yourself to see if you are in the faith. Have you done that? Have you examined your beliefs, your actions, your motives and compared them to scripture to see what kind of a Christian you are?

Are you submitting your life to God or God to your life?
This is an important question. No one should simply take it for granted that he is saved because he is born into a Christian family, or is a good person, or is sincere in heart and mind, or thinks that God is so loving that he'll let everyone into heaven.

These things do not make anyone a Christian nor do they guarantee anything with God. Only faith in Christ (Rom. 5:1), trust in Him alone for the forgiveness of sins (Acts 4:12), receiving Him (John 1:12) is what being born again i

I read and study the word of God. I follow Jesus and His teachings of His Father in Heaven. I am not a bench warmer on Sunday and Wednesday...I want my daily walk to show that I am set apart by God. I love to praise and worship everyday. It's a part of who I am.

I am in also in ministry...but I will not be going to Heaven for what I do.

My salvation is sealed by the grace and mercy of God / Jesus. It's an amazing gift; that He would seek a relationship with me...but He does, every day!

I will stand before God one day and answer for my life.

I only hope that I will hear from my Father: "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

That is my goal...my journey...and my destination.

Grace to you and God / Jesus Bless!

At least this is an elightening question. Thanks for such a glowing arrangement of words. I feel cool in my heart just reading it!

My answer is, I don't know. I was born into a Christian family, had my christening, had my first eucharist, and confession, all the works of a Catholic. I tried my best to emulate Jesus and the rest of the prophets, and when I realised this can be extended as far as getting examples from my neighbours, i.e. Moslems, I did that. Love thy neighbour, eh?

I should say, though, that I take all the good things from all and create my own lists of the good and the bad. Am I doing fine? I should say so. Is that the way God wants me to behave? Well, that I can only know when I face God during the great Day...

To answer your first paragraph, that description is not a Christian at all. The word Christian means a follower of Jesus Christ. And Jesus said "If you love me you will keep my commandments" and "If you are my disciples you then will do what I say". It is the same and one thing He is saying. Many people are church goers, as the wheat and tears have to grow together. If you try to pull out the tears now you will pluck the wheat with it. So when Jesus comes back He will reap the wheat from the tears. So you are either a Christian or not - you can't be between, God will spit you out of His mouth. A Christian will obey the Master's sayings and do His will, because he belongs to Christ. That's the kind of Christian we all should aspire tobe- shaped into the image of Christ. I do hope as aspiring Christians we can show the world how to live and what a true believer in Christ aught to be. It is only by our lives and examples, that the lukewarm and the unbelieving would come to know the Son of God in and through us. (the ones you targeted).

The only way we can really truly worship God in Spirit and in Truth! That is how you can see if your really a true worshiper! You just don't go to church and pray or anything! Really being a Christian matters very much on where your heart is. when you develop a relationship with God you have to talk to him! How do you have a relationship with someone if you don't spend time with Him!

I seek the truth between the letter of the word and the spirit of the word. To grow in Christ's light and God's love.
Christ said " I am the way the truth and the life No one comes to the Father except through me ".

I suspect I am like 80% of Christians.
Struggling with our humanity, doing our best to grow daily and failing because we haven't learned to let go and let God make the changes needed in our lives.
we are taught from childhood to learn to be independent,
We hear our parents say;
tie your own shoes,
learn to get your own clothes on.
Do your own homework, you won't learn anything if I do it for you.

So when we become adults making our own way in the world we try to be
"Do It Yourself Christians".

Which of course doesn't work.

We can't earn salvation, it is a gift.

But we do need to learn to let go of our petty sins and selfish ways before God can change our character.

At least that is what I have been able to glean from all my studies the last 50+ years!!!

I am trying to be a true Christian...where you spend every day in special time with just you and God, and then listening to Him and finding out what am I supposed to be doing with my life. Asking questions like, "Am I storing up too much treasures here on Earth?" "Am I helping bring people to Christ? "Am I reflecting Jesus in everything I do?"
But to answer the question, I'd have to say that I am a Christian that is asking God and trying as hard as I can to do what He wants to do with me.

I know some will insult you and say that you preach.
some will say that you are judgmental.

I say that you are like barnabas "son of encouragement" because those words are encouraging.

This is how my walk is.
I WILL NOT be luke warm
I will not bury my treasure under a tree.
I do not strive to hear well done good and faithful servent. I expect that.
What I want to hear is along the lines of Job chapter 1.
God spoke to satan, and said" Have you seen my servent Job?, there is none like him in all the land"

GOD WAS BRAGGING ABOUT HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THAT IS WHO i WANT TO BE. SADLY, I am not there yet, but someday through the strength of Jesus I will be.

Thank you again for the caffine in my day

Yes i am a Christian that serves God with all my heart and live in His will, however I am human and vulnerable to sin, I do the best that I possibly can not to sin, to God's will is the greatest thing that life can offer. I hope for the day that when I see God in heaven that he will look upon me and say job well done my good and faithful servant.
