Many Christians seem to want to preach to us.
The term "save" is so damn stupid.
I can't stand Protestants, especially the born again morons. I suppose I owe apologies to Lutherans, Methodists and other more normal sects. But sorry, these born again saved goofs have ruined the reputation of Protestants, for me anyway.

I don't know about "many of the Christians" but I can tell you why I monitor this forum and answer questions. It is apparent by just looking at most of the postings that the great majority of those who post here are non Christians who look at the world through very non Christians eyes. I am hoping to be one small voice that may be heard above the masses that may give someone pause to consider that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. It has nothing to do with me being saved. It has everything to do with the possibility that maybe just one person out there may see through their anger and come to know Jesus as THEIR savior.

Who makes you feel threatened?
Christians on an Q & A website?
The only times I see Christians get defensive on this site is when people say horrible things totally against GOD.
If you have faith in anything, then there is something you are willing to defend, right?
Let's be real. Do you think anyone shows off here? Who would know?
So, my answer is no. But I can't speak for all of them.
But then again, neither can you, so don't group MANY of us into one catergory please.
thanks!

Yes they do. Now, I don't think this makes any sense, but some of the people in a forum like this only participate to tell others about what they think they know, believing that everyone else somehow can't think for themselves. I see so much false information and outright purposefully misleading information that you have to read answers and then check them out for yourself. Whenever someone talkes about people who were "formerly" this or that have much of the time created stories that aren't even true. You CANNOT believe what you read in this forum, even when ther person responding seems to have only your best interest in mind.

Hey man,
First of all, I do apologize, as a Christian myself, for the attacking behaviors of other "Christians". You're right...in the same way that telling a smoker about what health problems cigarettes are adding to their lives won't lead them to quit, pushing the dangers of hell onto unbelievers usually won't get them to repent and accept Jesus, either.
Plus, there's no reason to boast about or show off their salvation in a way that's insulting to others, since it's nothing we did...it was given to us as a free gift. So when you feel insulted, you have every right to get in their faces about it...I'd be offended, too.
As for hell's existence, we know it exists because the Bible of whom we follow tells us it exists. It also says that it wasn't created for people, but for Satan & his demons. Yet, people who choose not to have anything to do with His Son, are actually choosing to go to hell.

I am a Christian, and I am not here to tell you that you're going to Hell. I don't want you to go to Hell. I want you to join me in heaven someday. I am here to spread the word and make sure that people at least know of their Father. Whether they believe in him or not is their choice. They will have to answer for that one day. Not me. I will have to answer for my mistakes, and whether or not I acknowledged my Father. I do get scared to talk about my Father in public, but I am goin to change that. Not all Christians are here to just say your going to Hell if you don't believe in God. Some of us are here to help. I am always willing to help anyone get closer for God. You or anyone can contact me at jackl_1988@hotmail.com

How do you know who on this forum is a Christian? Just because they answer a Christian themed question doesn't mean they are a Christian. If they are insulting or hateful...well, I hope they don't claim to be a Christian because they are not acting like it.

So what you are asking is for others to judge someone? I just want to be clear on your question... ((BTW, I forgive you for judging me.))
Who are you to judge what is in someones heart? You don't really know their motives. ...and if you actually believe everyone that claims they are Christian on this website/forum is a Christian, you are sadly mistaken.
There are many people that get on here and miss-represent themselves.
May you find the grace of the living God and His Son Jesus :o)

Jesus wouldn't insult you. He might however tell you something you didn't want to hear and that could be taken as negative or might offend you. However He wouldn't tell you something to rub it in your face. Christians ultimate goal is to be like Jesus. So if they're not doing that they need to check their motivations behind what they are doing.
As far as if hell exists. I believe in a seperation from God at judgement. That means your with him or not. So if your not then they call that hell.
So what's important is where are you going when you die?

Not everyone who claims to be a Christian is, or else Jesus wouldn't have said, "not everyone who says unto me, 'Lord,Lord' will enter into the kingdom of God." That said, Jesus is the one that warns us not to fear the devil that can destroy the body, but to fear God who can destroy both body and soul in hell. Telling someone that you wish them to go to hell is a sin itself. Warning someone of hell for rejecting Jesus, God's only offer of salvation, is just Bible truth.
Also, I hope Christians are, to quote you, "showing off" that they know the Lord. because the Bible plainly say, "let him who boast, boast in this, that he knows the Lord" Paul said he "gloried" in Christ. Jesus said, "let your light so shine before men that that glorify your Father in heaven." I sure hope Christians are boasting in Christ, because without faith in Christ and the cross all is loss.
